Oswego,, Illinois,USA | I bought a Vision because I would like to see how long I can go without any modifications. Not really But I think I can wait alot longer than I did with my last bike.My last bike was a 07 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 LT. I had 2k Into it the first year easy. Starting with a mustang seat ....Really like this Vision . Too cold to ride this season so fare. All I can do is type about it....I did the Ipod mod sorry for lyein .... I forgot about that one . How long do you think I go before pipes ,cams .Fuel managment, ect ???? When the weather gets warm I will not be here much so don't hld it against me,Let's ride |

Tucson, AZ | I would think now is the time for the cams and exhaust upgrade. Your bike is not doing anything now, and when your riding season starts, you wont want to stop riding.....I had my pipes done at the time of purchase, and rode that way for a year. Man you are going to love this bike. And then when you do the cams, your really going to love it.....

Southeast Iowa | I'm the wrong person to comment on how long one can wait before doing mods...........I had over 4-5K in mods before I picked mine up. Two years later she's in the shop again getting more mods. (cams, fuel controller, twin sucker, diamond cut heads) I'm one of those guys that believe if your going to do it at some point do it as soon as possible. The cost is usually the same and the sooner you do it the longer you have to enjoy it. Wish I would have pulled the trigger on the cams long ago. |

orrick, mo | Got my Vision june 26 09 and have about 11k on it with absolutly no upgrades.
I pretty sure I can make it another riding season with out changing anything.
I just spend the money I would put toward upgrades into trips instead.  |

LaPorte,Tx. | You really don't have to add anything for a long time. In stock form, it will go down the road, any road, as good or better than most touring bikes. But, most folks like to personalize their bikes, so the changes are made. It has a lot to do with what makes YOU happy. After having had my Vision for over two years now, I'm adding two items I thought I would never put on the bike. The trunk rack and the faring air deflectors. I'm pretty sure your going to make some changes, you can get a lot of info here on what other folks have done. Enjoy your new ride. |

New Bohemia, VA | I'm might do some upgrades when the stock stuff wears out, like the pipes. I don't know what affect it will have to go with new cams on old cylinders since I'm over 62,000. I must say though, the ole gal is holding out great, doesn't burn or leak oil and is ever faithful. |

| Other that the CB/com. system, mine is stock also....OK there is a Utopia backrest....but no perfomance upgrades. She is quick enough to get me in to trouble (Flashing light kind). |

Dallas, Texas | I upgraded the pipes and added the gatlins, and heal to toe shifter, at purchase. Since then just changed the ws for a Cee Bailey tall. Other than that, stock. And probably will stay that way.
Well, maybe some highway pegs, at sometime, perhaps.

you can do to the bike......... whats up with that. Hey, im all about the rumble, but seriously S E R I O U S L Y does making it louder really make you enjoy it more? Odd that when you read about all the dudes who upgrade the pipes on HD's everyone says its a compensation upgrade, ,,, yet when a guy with a Vision does it thats a different story..........
For what its worth, i had modifications made to my bike in the time between when i signed the paperwork to purchase and the two days later when i picked it up....... so for me ZERO was the timeframe before my first modification. I think its a sickness we all suffer from. the only cure is ........hmmmmm is there a cure?????? |

Bellevue, NE | Lets see....my Vision arrived at the dealer last Tuesday (01/26). Paid for it on Thursday (01/28). Had been in contact with kevinx before the bike even arrived at dealer. And I won't even pick it up before the streets are clear of winter snow and salt!
So far just the heel/toe shifter. But...the muflers should be back as Adambombs this week. Trying to get Mr x to Omaha for a cam party in April. Some pieces are going to the powdercoater and I am taking the silver trim pieces to my painter today.
So if there is a negative timeline, I am in!!!
BTW is this a problem? Do we need to start a 12 step group? LOL!

Had them on my BMW LT too...didn't help...actually they kind of suck...way flimsy and the hardware is too soft. I barely used mine and my dealer had to take off a lower cracked tupperware piece (a rabbit hit me) and the bolts for the Mick-O-Pegs had bent. Bent bolt in the Soldier Bolt was even torch resistent.
Me dealer felt so badly about not being able to get the hardware on the Pegs apart that he ordered me a whole new one...no charge.
Mick-O-Peg nice idea for the LT as the foot position sucks beyond belief...just needs better engineering or harder bolting hardware.
Don't know why you would need them on the Vision...test road one and came back in 5 minutes and bought it. Sold my BMW the next day. The huge floor boards rock and don't need highway pegs

Thank goodness you are way down in TX otherwise someone would accuse us of dating...or something...lol.
