Posts: 366 Albuquerque, NM | I installed they RTBC per the wiring sheet in the unit download procedure in this forum. I've got a problem with the turn signals. When I hit the left turn signal, both tail and trunk left lights flash at high intensity but the right light also flashes at low intensity. Same problem when I use the right turn signal, the left trunk light also flashes at low intensity. Is this normal?
I cut the power leads to the trunk lights and ran new leads to the output of the RTBC. I am not using the load equalizer per the instructions.
I've also noticed a short pattern of relay clicking coming from the front of the bike after turning the bike to acc. and same when turning it off.
any help appreciated

Posts: 366 Albuquerque, NM | Problem solved. The issue with the turn signals only occurs in ACC mode. In ON or run mode, the controller and lights are working fine.
Going to have my dealer check out the clicking relay noise. |

Posts: 8 Granger, IN | Well, I'm another who tried the RTBC and tried the install today per Firehawk's instructions. Unfortunately, I was not so successful. Here's what I got:
Brake lights work fine
Left turn works okay until brake is applied, then the lower light and trunk light alternate blinking pattern
Right turn signal does not work at all.
I know I have my wires crossed somehow, both on the bike and in real life too. I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me. I'm not understanding what to do with the right trunk light.
On a positive note, I took the bike out for a ride today. Sunny and 38 degrees in northern Indiana. I could not believe how comfortable the Vision is. I seriously could have done a 50-60 mile ride without getting cold. Didn't turn on the seat or grip heaters either. |

Posts: 366 Albuquerque, NM | Sounds like everything is working except the right turn signal. You must have the jumper installed so the trunk lights flash 5 or 6 times when the brake is applied. Doublecheck you right signal wiring input and output wires. It was a pain for me. I spent several hours more than I should have trying to figure out why it didn't work right in ACC mode.

| You will find that they work correctly with the switch "on".
The signals will flash alternately when the brake is applied.
Without the brake applied, they will flah together.
Really shows up well both day & night! |
