| I placed an order through the local Victory dealer for a 2010 Black Tour Premium ABS on Dec. 1st. The dealer suggested I might see the bike before Christmas. That didn't happen and it has now been seven weeks of waiting with no word from Victory on a ship date.
Finally got word from the dealer last Friday that my shiny new machine is now on a truck and on it's way from Iowa to Ontario. Even have a VIN number to prove it. Now it's time to hurry up and wait some more. Probably another week to ten days before it finds it's way across the border and into Canada. I know, "patience is a virtue" but there comes a point when you really just want to get your hands on your new toy! |

Posts: 18 Northeast Ohio | My 2010 has been on order since the middle of September! I just got my VIN number a few days ago. It gets worse, my black '10 Tour Premium with ABS will sit in a crate for almost three more months. I'm getting a lesson in patience. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to see a black '10 at the end of the month at the bike show.
Good Luck with your patience as well.

Of course, I know what it is like, for I too am a man with a Vision, hopefully you'll get yours soon, until then, you're just a man with a vision.
Welcome MWAV! |

Already plotting and planning that first big Visionary trip this summer which will be down Boston way then up the east coast to the Maritimes or down to visit my wife's sister in North Carolina with a detour to the tail of the Dragon. |

Hey, no snow in Toronto right now and temps on the plus side of freezing for the last few days. I would be pleased to assist with the breakin detail while he waits for it to warm up! |

Posts: 18 Northeast Ohio | I live outside of Cleveland Ohio, so we easily have three more months of snow and road salt. Since the dealer is kind enough to store it for me for free, I'll keep it in the crate for awhile. By the way, my dealer is All Ohio Motorsports in Bedford Ohio. They are outstanding, and highly recommended. My Vision is my third purchase from them.
I always go by the rule of not taking any two or four wheeled toys out until 2 hard rains after the last salt/cinder/sand application on the roads. Does this hurt? You bet, especially when some friends go out early. I hate rusty parts and salt stains on bare aluminum worse than the bad feeling of not riding.
I try to spend as much of the winter catching up on "house chores" so my wife is more tolerant of me saying "honey, I'm going for a ride!" when the weather gets better.
Good luck guys, and thanks for the support

I hear ya on the road salt, but a trip to the do it you self car wash solves that problem. Last year it was just not possible to ride from Dec. to mid March in these parts unless you were nuts. But this has been a weird winter so far. Colder than normal in December and above normal in January so far with very little snow. I have only seen the salt truck on our street twice so far and have not had to fire up the snowblower at all. Of course you folks on the south side of the lakes actually get more snow than we do in Toronto due to lake effect squalls. If this weather pattern continues into february I am hoping to get a few short rides in. My dealer is Peak Powersports in Burlington. They also offered to store the bike until spring but I told my sales rep I would rather store it in my garage so I could tinker with it. But as you said there are two seasons at our house too. Riding season and reno season, and my honey do list is long enough to keep me busy for the next couple of months and then some! |

Posts: 18 Northeast Ohio | John,
You know first hand what the road crews do to our roads, living around Northeast Ohio. I LOVE riding motorcycles, but I HATE cleaning salt stains off of bare aluminum parts even worse.
As far as buying another one soon, it took me about 6 months of begging, pleading, and crying to get permission from my wife to get this one. She's the best, but if I asked to get another bike in a few years I think I'd be pressing my luck a bit.
Good luck, and hope to ride with you this summer,

Steve DiFrancoBelss your little heart, Steve. It sounds like a reasonable, logical plan.
However, if your wife is anything like mine, she will get spoiled about having you doing so much, and will miss your help that much more when the weather turns and you go riding.
Sometimes, you just can't win.
I suggest:
1) Do your plan, but keep her obnoxiously well reminded of the ultimate goal: a clear schedule during riding season.
2) Take her with you. If she's riding pillion, she won't be home while you are out playing. Sometimes, it can actually be nice... even if you do have to cut out the strip joints from your itinerary.
Good luck. The seasons up there are one of the reasons why I moved from Erie, PA to North Carolina. I've ridden my bike almost every day since I bought it (gloat, gloat). |

Posts: 18 Northeast Ohio | My "house chores" plan is on schedule, so I think I'm going to be ok with my bride. She knows how frustrating it has been to be waiting for the new Vision since September. I even missed the "bike trip" with my buddies in the fall. That hurt.
As a matter of fact I just got a call from the dealer that my bike came in this week. Almost 5 months wait. It's worth it. I'm hoping to go and see my "crate" next week. Maybe the dealer will have a black Vision in the showroom so I can see what mine will look like. We'll see.
As far as taking my wife with me, she is afraid to ride and I'm ok with that. Two of my best riding buddies have the same issue with their wives. We've tried everything for years, no luck. We're all ok with that.
Very unfortunate that Victory wasn't at the Cleveland IMS. I was there Saturday night and the place was jammed with people. Busier than I've seen it in years. If any of you want to see some pics of the older bikes, trikes, and misc stuff you can see them at my website www.motorsportreport.com.

| The dealership mentioned earlier, All Ohio Motorsports in Bedford OH, has two 2010 Visions: a white one and the blue/sandstone equipped with ABS. I saw them on Jan 23 and I personally like the white one. I am partial however, because my Wing was white/silver.

Posts: 29 Strongsville, Ohio | Even though we have 2 dealers near Cleveland, I have only seen one other on the road for the past 1 1/2 years that I've been riding my '08. So I welcome new Vision owners to the area, so I can cut back on the show and tell time and ride more. One thing for sure though, it is a blast talking about it. |

Posts: 18 Northeast Ohio | My previous Victory was an '05 Kingpin that I tricked out a bit, and show and tell was an understatement. I was always answering the question, "what kind of bike is that?" or "is that a Harley?". From what you're saying, having a Vision will be worse. Not a problem. I had lots of practice. Actually, the white '10 Vision was the actual one I originally ordered. With the seat delay problem, I was able to save up the extra bucks for the ABS. I would of preferred the white with ABS, but it didn't come that way.
I may go look at my "crate" this coming week. I feel like an idiot doing it, but after waiting almost 5 months, I'm doing it anyway.
I think riding season will be here in no time.
I haven't looked at my GPS mount from the dealer yet, how does it mount?

Posts: 126 Meadow, Texas | My previous bike was a VTX. Nice bike but just doesn't have what my Vision has. Love the vision. This is what a bike is supposed to be.
As far as the ordering - I ordered mine in late September and was told I might get it before Christmas - got the call about it being on the truck and took possession of it the last of November. Yeeaaaahhhh. Love it and have had so many people comment about it.
I opted for the Pearl white because it was something very different plus after going to a couple of Rolling Thunder events and having people walk around asking me if I had seen their Black Harley - I wanted something that stood out.
And usually I would tell the Black Harley Road King owner, "Yeah dude, I saw it just a couple of rows over." Had to laugh though, plus the majority was also black.
Besides had a black one when it matched my hair - now you can guess why I have the one I've got.
Have no idea what color I can paint it when I lose all my hair - Primer???
But enjoy your vision, it is just too much fun for one bike. |

| Steve, I checked the photos I shot at All Ohio Motorsports, and it appears that they do indeed have a black one. It was sitting between the white one and the blue/sandstone one, in the front window, when I was there a couple of weeks ago. There is also another black one that may be a Cross Country, because I only caught the rear portion of the bike in the shot, and there's no trunk. Dave |
