| Funny thing is that in the demo he mentions that the Vision is bluetooth compatible. Did I miss something or did he make a mistake? | |

Posts: 174 Edmonton, AB | I believe he was also mistaken when he stated the seat height was only 24.5 inches. Victory's website lists the seat height on the vision as 26.5 inches.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Yeah, I picked up on the misquotes too. I think he heard, or read, some of the capabilities once the devices are on the Vision. I think the Garmin GPS is bluetooth and if you have phone that is bluetooth, that some how that can be leveraged to talk on the phone through the headsets via the bluetooth. As far as the seat, that is a misquote, 26.5 is the height, but it is much lower than the Wing. I believe he was just a little confused there.
I went to one of those Goldwing posts and signed up to answer what seemed to be questions concerning the Vision. I've got them going over there about the Vision. Some good comments, but most are loyality to Goldwing comments. Some of them like the Goldwing is more balanced and has more power than the Vision. Power, okay, but not in balance. Here are the posts.
New Goldwing or Victory Vision? http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum4/34187-3.html
Victory Vision, They've gotta be kidding! http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum4/38091.html
There are a few others there too if you want to search around. It makes me all the more glad that I went with the Vision. Most of the reasons why I see folk like the Goldwing, as I did, well, because its a Goldwing. But the ride comfort and the features for me, the Vision is well above a Wing.

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | varyder - brave or foolish, I haven't figured it out yet. Quite funny, what you have done! You can always tell the diehards, be it wingers or harleyers or etc. Even if I didn't like the vision for its styling, I don't think I would have said it was ugly. Neat, a stretch, design gone wrong, twist to the olden days, etc. I have yet to see a bike that I really thought was ugly. I have wanted to ride just about any that I have ever seen, just to see the differences and if anything was new. If there was no push or design oops, would we still be riding around in squarer boxes. I see though the car industry is figuring ways around the square or sharp corners and still achieve aerodynamics.
Wow, what a blast to read some of their thoughts, it reminded me of lurking at some of the Harley forums and what they were saying about the Vision. Good job stir'em up some more. If I had more time I would probably join you over there just to see if we could get them to lock the thread. HEHEHEHEH

Posts: 185 Nebraska | I only read a few posts on that Wing site. I find it damn funny that a Gold Wing owner would call a Vision fugly. And it removes all credibility from anything posted over there. One guy said the dash and windshield were too far away. Well I guess so. When you're used to something that has the riding position of a shiter.

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Maddog, (& Chicken Little) I did find them amuzing over there, I still "own" a wing so I'm not just a lurker. But that one post sounded more like he didn't want to admit the Vision was cool because he was a Winger. I have to agree with the sitting position as I was on the GL1500 moving it to the road to sell to the first passer byer who wants it. When I got on it, it felt like me feet were right up under me and I felt like I was, well, in the outhouse. More power to all who love to ride a wing...

This is a great quote from "Maddog". I could give a crap about what a GW or HD guy says if that person feels they need to rip MY bike, I don't rip theirs. I have close friends (and you probably do also) that ride GWs and HDs. In fact, rode this past Sunday with a GW, two Ultras, we all made it to the destination, well healed. I'm just as fast or better, I handled just as good or better, had just as good or better gas mileage, all our wives did not complain, etc, etc etc.......... The only difference is that NO body came up to them and asked them about their bike. In a 300 mile trip, I had 10 people ask me about my bike. Priceless, all you owners, we HAVE the ONE! Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | Hate to keep riding (no pun intended) this issue, but here the Wingers are trying help one who is looking for help in getting his seat lowered. I want to chime in and say get a Vision, but I just can't do it. When I had my GL1200 I cut it down for that very reason. Don't have that problem any more.

I had to do it!
