Thanks. |

Cost for 08 is $1150, and includes cams, intake, fuel controller, and labor.
09-10 cost is $1800, and includes the above plus a set of cam carriers
Job is turn key. You bring the bike, and I bring all parts, and tools. Weather you do the exhaust first is up to you. The system will work either way, and only requires a minor adjustment if you change out later |

Posts: 394 Tucson, AZ | Kevinx, what's the minimum number bikes you would need confirmed to do a party? Sounds like right now there's only two. I also posted on the VOG site and so far haven't gotten any takers. |

Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | 1 09, and 2 08's is pretty much it with the cost of air fare to Az. Some places are cheap to fly to, and 3 08's would do it, but 3 comes out as the minimum no matter how you split it |

Kevin, would you consider doing cams in Daytona during bike week.
That would be a conflict of interest with work, but I could do it at work 90 miles away from Daytona for a pretty close price |

Posts: 203 Rapid City, SD | Do we have any insight into the air mixture valve? Is this something that can be done easily and with the cams? I'll still have to wait until I return from Korea but I am just trying to get my ducks in a row.
One of the things, besides cash that has caused me to hold off on the cams has been the popping that accompanied the Stage 1 pipes. I figure I would want the pipes if I did the cams so therein lies my hesitation. If the air valve helps reduce the popping, I may be ready to go for the package. Maybe in the October 2010 time frame. Anyone in Missouri want to get a cam party around that time frame? It would give you plenty of time to save up. |

Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | Reserving my judgemnt on the air valve until I get to play with one myself. I will say this though. I just did a set of slash pipes on an 08 Vegas; that has a screwed up IAC. Not a single pop to be heard. Worked BETTER then blocking the IAC off, but it was to unpridicatble at a slow cruise, and it hunted all over for an idle

My point was that a set of EXTREMELY loud pipes could be run pop free |

Posts: 5 Orlando, FL | Greetings Kevin,
Since you may be able to do one during bikeweek (90miles away of course) I may be interested. Lloyd did the intake and VFCIII during bikeweek last year. Is it possible to do the cams on a Saturday (or over a weekend)? Thanks in advance Kevin!
Cheers,

Posts: 203 Rapid City, SD | Poiint taken. I guess I could just leave the stock pipes as well. Either way I still have 8 months to decide. Thanks for the info. By the way, if it was your money, would you stay stock or which pipe would you choose to accompany the cams?

Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | Man I must have missed this thread the last couple of times it popped up.
weseeman......I wish I could do Sturgis, but as an event[not work] I can pretty much go anywhere in the country that we can get 3-4 bikes together at
af goalie....My favorite pipe is the Atom Bombs, but all of the strongest runners have had S1L1 mufflers
paulhu....Max # of bikes is 4. I pretty much start working at 7AM on a Saturday, and work till everybody is done. Then fly back out on Sunday. The where, and when we can figure out once I have at least one more bike lined up.
Right now I am gearing up to do San Fran next weekend, and Houston is booked up for Febuary. So I would LOVE to get this in line; so I know where I am going |

I might be. What part of Missouri? I wanted to do it last year when Kevin went to Dallas, but the timing wouldn't work for me; it was just a wee bit too far away. It wouldn't have worked with my work schedule.

I will be stationed at Whiteman AFB. I am sure you know but for everyone else it is near the Kansas City side of Missouri. I will not be getting there until about August/September. I have also been wondering about pre-paying so I don't have to dump all the money at once. If Kevin sees this can I purchase some of the parts as I have money and then pay for the install when I am ready? Just an idea. Also I might be able to wrangle a tour of the base for a discount on the cam price. LOL I will be moving at that time and money may be tight or not. I just don't know. |

Posts: 203 Rapid City, SD | If you meet in Rapid City, I might and thats a big "might" be able to do it before I get back. Someone would just have to pick up my bike and deliver it to the party. It will be a tough sell though, we are trying hard to pay down some debt while I am overseas. It will be hard sell my lovely wife on the idea of a performance upgrade. I would say there is a 20% chance I could pull it off. LOL |

What are the years of the bikes we are talking about?? We may be able to go with what you have, or just get one more, and we are in!! Should be doing an X bike in the next few weeks, and then be able to add them in the mix

Posts: 394 Tucson, AZ | Come on guys. Can't we get two more Vision owners in of all of Arizona, northern Texas, New Mexico, or Colorado to have a cam party? I'll offer to host here in Tucson. I've got an extra bedroom for Kevinx and there is a motel with a sports bar next door to where I live for anyone else that needs to stay over night. |

That'd work for me. Maybe some of the KC guys would be interested in a cam party out there. We could all stand around and watch the Stealth Bombers fly over while Kevin worked his magic.
