| Thanks brother. I hope to buy a vision this spring. I am concerned about storage for a long trip for me and my girl. Have you seen any luggage designed for the Vision? How are things going with your bike? I live in INdy and am ready to ride!! Missing the nice weather. |

Posts: 803 Perry Hall, MD | The Saddleman BR4100 is a twin to the Victory Solo bag (at about 1/2 cost) which fits on the rear seat while providing a backrest. Others are using T-Bag units designed for the back seat as well.
Traveling 2-up, strap an extra bag on the luggage rack, or if you like to carry a lot consider a trailer. Suggestion is to use liners for the trunk and saddlebags to maximize packing in them as well (they might look small, but really can carry a lot). I really like the saddlebag organizers to carry maps, bungees, and other small. easy to misplace items in the bag doors. |

| Thanks for the information. How is your vision working out for you? I'm saving my $$$$ to hopefully get one this spring. |

Posts: 803 Perry Hall, MD | You won't find a lot of complaints about the bike here, and for most that have some issue they pretty much all feel the same way that I do - LOVE THE BIKE!! Victory can be a bit unresponsive to some problems, so you should build a good relationship with your dealer in case you need them to help you with dealing with the company.
Been on it since July and have not been back to the dealer other than to pick up the lower deflectors and OEM oil filters.
Hope to do a multiple week trip across the country this year and see no reason not to expect the best from the bike for that kind of travel.
If I can make one option recommendation, save your pennies and at least consider the lower air deflectors. Helps with the cold, but really pays off when it gets hot to move the right side engine heat away from your leg.
Oh yea, after you have your ride don't post a question on what kind of oil to use - just do a forum search and you'll find a lot of old threads. To ask the question could be hazardous. LOL

| I use Kuryakyn for on top of the trunk (1st pic)and in the passanger seat when I am Solo (2nd Pic) or trunkless.
Both can be used, and have been used on the luggage rack.

| If you check my gallery there are a couple of photos in there that show a roll bag that we carry our rain gear in. It's not big or heavy and it keeps the gear where I don't have to hunt for it when we're travelliing. |

Posts: 26 minnesota | I posted some pictures in the gallery of a Nelson-Rigg luggage bag I am using with my luggage rack.
It was about 129.00 for the pair, so I ended up with a spare bag but I like the fit (shape) to the rack. |

Posts: 41 Litchfield Park, AZ | But no alternatives for the OEM Trunk Rack? I've hear the Goldwing Rack is very suitable, and widely available on Ebay at much lower price. Any ideas or comments on alternative rack that really look great, not goofey? |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | There are a few folks here at Vision Riders that have mounted the Gold Wing rack to the Vision trunk. I've seen the picture, looks fine. I believe it is a little bigger and has a lip kick up on the back end. I believe you can get from Kuryakyn. |

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | I got a the Vision luggage rack and installed yesterday. Pretty simple to complete. A question to anyone that has done this job. In the package, there are two 1/2" round x 1" long black hard rubber what I think are "bumpers" or "stops". The instructions and parts list make no mention of these. Does anyone know anything about them? |

| Flashback. O.O The part shown being pulled through the hole with the pliers looks just like the rubber bumpers used on my old 1949 Buick glove box door.
Where did you get this info? From a new set of truck rack instructions or a mod? |

bikerdave48 sent it to me some time ago. it is part of the file that Victory has for curing the trunk noise..it also includes the felt that goes under the matte black side pieces on the trunk..I had to cut this part out cause the pdf was to big to upload |

Posts: 742 North Orange County CA | I recently bought the rack and received the bumpers and was wondering what the heck those things were for, since my kit did not have instructions (or felt) for the "noise reducers".
Just finished the install. Thanks to mrwatson for the timely post ; it made my install job a lot easier and hopefully quieter. Just one more reason that this site is the place to be when you're not out riding.

Lenny, I should have seen this long ago, but if you haven't seen the other thread, we did come out with these a short while ago... The Winged V The Retro (see many more pics in different finishes on different colored bikes here: http://www.vision-riders.com/bb/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=5567&posts=60&mid=55564&highlight=cycleops&highlightmode=1&action=search#M55564) Mounting kits in matching finishes also available.
