| Hello All
I was wondering if the MP-3 Quality sound was better than the XM Satelite sound through the factory speakers on the 09 Vision Premium . Another question - Is the reception on the XM unit top notch or will it be going out on me all the time, and what model works with the 09 vision. |

Not sure this makes sense but that's how it is on my bike. As far as reception, I don't have any issues unless I'm riding real close to a bluff or dense wooded area. By the way..............XM will deal on their price! I only had to tell them I was not going to renew my subscription when they offered to cut my price by 1/2. |

| XM broadcasts compress dynamic range on audio as well as uses lossy bitrate compression. Both of these degrade the sound of the XM audio. Depending on how you rip your music, you can make your IPOD sound MUCH BETTER, the same or worse than XM. I usually rip my IPOD music using a lossless compression (except for recorded audio books) and it sounds much better than XM on the Vision.

| Wow, I have no idea what I just read.
That being said, I use my Ipod all the time.
XM in my riding area gets very sketchy. Lots of hills and tree lined roads.
Will most likely not renew. My FM radio comes in better than XM. |
