| I have them with the Gatlins. I think they are much louder. They are even louder with the Lloyds cam upgrade.
In Daytona this year, I was riding with some guys who had honkers, Lloyds intake and VFC. They sounded good.
Noticable difference with the cams that I had in mine.

| I have the Big Honkers and think they are a TON louder than the stock pipes. I also have the S1L2 and they are not much better than the stock one's. |

Posts: 47 High Ridge, Mo. | Is anybody popping with the Honkers and a Lloydz job (cams , fuel controller, and intake)????
Do the Gatlins fit with the new exhaust. My dealer said no, but I don't think he knows as much as he should.
That's what I have ordered.
Tell me now or forever hold my money.

Posts: 374 Tucson, AZ | Ive got the Honkers and Andrews cams with a Power Commander. They popped a bit with the addition of the cams but its been dialed in on the Dyno and very seldom pops. If I'm stuck in traffic for a long time they will load up and get a small pop, but not often. When they where popping bad, i found if i shifted at 3500 it went away also.

| One of the main reasons I have not swapped to a more open exhaust has been the ongoing popping issue "many" have experienced. I'd like a deeper sound from the exhaust, I'm just not willing to trade off at this point. |

Yeah, my bike is still popping with said items installed. The fuel controller helped eliminate some of it. I found that I was popping a lot less with regular fuel than primium octane fuel. That being said, I still beleive I have an exhaust leak. These exhaust leaks are what cause some of the problems. Some is also attributed to the Idle Air Control. There's an explanation of this on Loydz page with a new product I'll be ordering as soon as it drops: http://www.lloydz.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000078
As you can probably tell by my sig, I'm a fan of Lloydz stuff. |

I never see this addressed but when I pulled the header pipes on mine the mating surfaces was not smooth at all. It looked marbley like an orange so I sanded it smooth using crocus cloth and replace the gaskets. Giving what I saw made me believe I had exhaust leaks out of the factory and dispite tightening the leaks were never eliminated until the pipes were pulled, cleaned and gaskets replaced. Just my two cents and I've never heard or seen anyone acknowledge this problem, yet many have complained of the popping, characteristic of an exhaust leak. |

Other than you and Lloyd, I haven't heard too much other discussion on it but it's kinda tribal knowledge. I think Lloydz blog covers it. I have had his gaskets sitting in my shop for about 5 months now and haven't gotten to tearing off the exhaust to replace the stock ones. I keep wanting to but then I start her up and before you know it I'm in 5th or 6th gear rolling down the highway. LOL I procrastinate until there's a weeks worth of projects on the bike before I break down and work on it. |
