well I saw one yesterday......I love it and part of me wants to trade my Steet premium.....The different bars were not that noticeable. I really did like the seat it fits the lines of the Vision better...but in the real world 2 extra inches of seat foam comes in handy. The wheels look ok but I can tell will be a chore to keep looking good. I'm gonna start with some powder coating......I think I can get the same effect on my Street......but I have all the extras....Anyone looking to buy a Vision 8 Ball ..buy a street model premium.. add some powder coat..When all is said and done, you willl have yourself a better deal and bike.

Banjo, with that said, the Vision 8-Ball, or any of the eight-balls for that matter are targeting those who want to do without. I agree with you that with a few mods I'd have the look and feel of the ball with all the extra's.

That is the issue, the better deal is for those who don't want all the extras. Any way, just wanted to chime in on this, as I could live with the 8-ball without all the stuff. I have found myself many times riding just listening to the beat of the V-Twin, use the cruise only for a momentary throttle lock and have not turned on my heated stuff except when it was raining on Veterans day and my gloves were soak. I'm not trying to be hardcore, I just like that experience without the creature comforts except the cushy seat. And with that, I think two inches out would not make much of a difference in the comfort of the ride for my no butt, big gut.

The only thing I wish my Vision 8-ball had was cruize control for the long trips I hope to make soon. The smooth, flat black console matches the sleek look of the bike. The seat is fantastic. This is the only bike I have ever ridden that at the end of the day my lower back does not hurt. The depth of the seat and the lower center of gravity makes this bike a dream to ride. The bike gets alot of attention. On different occasions I have had cars following me through parking lots to ask what kind of bike I was riding. My HD street glide which I traded seems like a toy compared to the V 8-ball.

I'm going to order the Vision 8 Ball clutch cable/perch/etc to replace my hydro clutch.
Banjo, I agree with your assessment completely. Sorry but I like my toys and I use them.

Me too! If she didn't have the bells and whistles, I wouldn't have bothered. The 8 Balls do look nice. I'd probably just blackout a street primo, probably pick up an 08-09 if I wanted to save a little money to get closer to the 8 Ball price.

Hey thanks! Nice to see one live, and in its natural habitat.
They really should have fences or warning signs around that beast.
Wow.

Sweet looking ride. The engine looks good all blacked out. Is that the one you're getting?

Awww Come ON! You got the ultimate Anniversary Bike. The Chi is all wrong in your garage unless you add the bare bones model.

Can anyone tell me if you can get a heated seat for the 8ball? I understand the rider seat is 2" lower, is the passenger seat reduced that much as well?

From what I could tell, the 1" is from drivers seat only. The second inch comes from a shorter rear suspension.

SBG, I see the 8-Ball has the speaker grill in place. You might want to check into a powered amplified speaker that fits under the speaker grill, then just plug in the XM. I had that on my Kingpin...long ago, worked good.

SBG - I'll let you ride my M/C Tour Premium if you let me ride the 8-Ball.

I don't know why, but the bike grabs me. When I first saw the Vegas Low I didn't know what I was looking at then finally figured it was the low saddle, the 8-Ball as the same affect. Is the seat pleather or is it real leather? I already know the answer and still need to get my seat leathered. Having rode a real leather seat it makes a world of difference. My understanding is the 8-ball is the standard Vision without. So if you want to put anything on it, radio, heated seat, etc, all of that should fit. I've not looked in the catalog yet, but I might order the seat and have it leathered over the winter.

VAryder,
I assumed the seat was leather...hmm....now I wonder. My only reservation about riding the tour premium is that I would like it too much!

from the pics it looks leather, but unless I see first hand I wouldn't know. If it is, that would, too me, make a "stock" perfect riding machine
