I was unfortunate enough to have my Vision's glovebox (left side) spring latch fall out on my ride home from a cam party.  I was forced to stop at a convenience store and find some tape to hold the door closed to keep it from interfering with the handlebars while riding.  However, the biggest surprise came when I went to a dealer to order the new replacement piece.  Being well aware of how high Victory parts and accessories are priced, I was expecting a high price for this little (probably) $.50 piece of plastic.  Figuring I was looking at maybe a $10 charge and steeling myself to pay it, I was shocked to find out that the piece costs over $21.00!     Now, I realize this is a proprietary piece and can't really be priced as the simple small plastic part that it is, but $21.00 just seems truly exorbitant.  The part is not all that strong to begin with and the door doesn't always latch cleanly.  So I can't imagine that the piece failing or falling out is a huge surprise.  The surprise is in the replacement cost.  Mine fell out at night on a highway, so there was no finding it.  If yours falls out in your garage, etc., do your best to find it - it isn't the cheap little plastic part you might think.
