Posts: 117 Spring Hill, Tennessee | As winter approaches, it is a time when I begin shopping for my bikes when I can't ride them as much.
Tire shopping has been the order of buisness over the past week. I am amazed at the huge variance in pricing I am finding for the Dunlop Elite 3. I have seen this tire priced as high as $281 for a rear, and as low as $178 for the same rear tire.
I know many of you are now using different brands on your Visions. That is fine with me as I too am considering other options. My question is WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR TIRES?
If you have found a place that you believe is offering a good price for your tires, please share with us. I hate to think about getting ripped off on a tire purchase!
Thanks,

However, I have found that with shipping, I could get them for the same price at the dealer when they give me a 15% discount during sale times. The last three tires have been from the dealer during discount time. $281.00 for a rear is WAY TOO much and you can easily find them online for about $230 with shipping. |

I have started liking "on-line" shopping! With Tennessee Sales Tax at 9.25%, buying on-line and saving that 10% makes a huge difference!! |

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | Tennessee Vision, I didn't know it was winter here yet. Another fella and I will still be riding for a while. I have been getting all my tires from my local dealer. I show him the price from Ron Ayers and let him decide on what he wants to do. Normally, he gets within a few dollars but then he MOUNTS them for FREE, if I buy it from him. So, I think the last time I talked to him, it was 35 front and 55 rear to mount or something like that. So, I would prefer to give him the cash, if I got to give it to someone. |

Posts: 189 Baltimore, Md | I will assume (maybe incorrectly) that those of you buying tires cheaper elsewhere are also having them installed at your dealer. If that is true, are you getting either a sneer from the dealer or a comment of 'next time buy from me and I'll reduce the price'? I would think most dealers would be inclined to try for the business vs. showing anger, but you never know. And I'm curious. Thanks. |

I assume you are referring to the dealer on Whitten Road? They are some nice guys! I like your way of offering your business for the right price!
I said as winter time "approached" my friend. I am riding this Sunday (11/8). Where are you located? |

ron ayers always seems to be the best online deal if you watch them. however, I'll reiterate that the dealer for me has been the best way to go, with shipping and all, and they do a great favor in price to change a tire. Frankly, the tire changing price is what attracted me to start with to begin looking at a Victory. |
