I think there is something to be said when you stand by something that is an extension of who you are. You might be loyal to riding, or loyal to the ride, but whether it is riding or anything else, loyality is a trait that is nearly gone today.

to those 100 who stood in the rain in protest, I salute you for your loyality.

I extend a greater tribute to salute those who are loyal to our nation on foriegn soil, that is something more worth saluting.

God Bless America!

I agree I am sorry any time a company goes down. I also applaud brand loyaility. You have something you like that works for you don't be afraid to stand up and be counted. I believe in many things and will stand for them despite critics. Archie

You know I had brand loyalty to HD until 2007 when I got ahold of a bad bike. Neither the dealer or the Moror Company would do anything about it, saying that it was bad gas sold in the state I live in...out of the 5 months i owned this bike it was in the shop for 4. I took it to an indy, paid to have it fixed which it was then sold it. Got rid of everything I had that said HD...now I'm talking thousands of dollars worth of stuff. I bought 5 new bikes from the same dealer, owned 18 harleys in the 33 years I have ridden, and got treated like a POS. So.....Damn I love this Vision.....

Its a sad day indeed for the folks at Buell. A good bike competing in a world of Superbikes. Its a shame to see them go.

It is a shame that another company will be closing its doors and a fitting tribute for those loyal to the brand to show their loyalty. With that said Buell has always been a niche bike company selling limited quantities to those into that fold of riding. This economic depression will take out quite a few more before it is done and even Victory who has yet to turn a profit is still rolling the dice.

Loyalty is a great thing.
Of course if Buell was going to drag HD under it is better to let it go. If it is as entwined into HD as stated then it is necessary. Hopefully people will get jobs. I doubt HD will let workers move over with all sales down.

We furloughed 3 people this week. I feel bad for them. Of course I get this "weird" feeling inside because I am still doing 50 hours a week but my work is not work they do. We, design team, have lots of work coming in for the floor but it just isn't here yet. Hopefully we get it before we loose anymore.

Hey... the mainstream press had assured us that the majority of voters wanted "Change we can believe in".

If we keep believing in the changes we've been getting, then we will ALL of us be standing in '80's Soviet style bread lines.
