Back around 1980 I purchased a "Cyberlight" from a supplier in the US for the back of my Goldwing. It was mounted on the back of the bike and wired into the brake light system. When the brakes were applied the light would activate-the slick thing was that the harder and faster you braked, the brighter and faster the light would blink. The lems was red. I would love to put one of these on the back of the Vic Vis but have been unable to find these or anything like them. Does anyone remember these and does anyone know where and if they are still made and sold. It was a gread thing for the back and I was told that it was very effective.A great safety feature.

I have seen bike taillights that flash. They flash faster the longer the brakes are applied I believe. I don't know where they get them or the name sorry. Maybe Kuryakyn? http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.ProductDetail/catID/16/sc...

Been using these for years, they work great.

I use their license plate bracket with the flashing lights. I have not put them on the new Vision yet, but they are on order.

Thanks -I have seen all of these latest products-not like the cyberlight which was activated by a decelerometer. Harder stop was brighter and faster and slower stop was slower and dimmer. I think they went out of business a few years after they started up. Probably go with the Kuryakyn product.

It does not increase in speed or intensity, but on my last 2 bikes I've used the Brake-Off Bake Light Modulator and an LED light strip from Harbor Freight.

Where did you put the LED light strip?

Just attached a video clip to last post. I used a plastic channel across the top of the license. I believe Back-Off license plate housings are available with the lights included (Harbor Freight was on $8 - but you get what you pay for)

Try some still images. One illuminated and one in between flashes. The video was done with windows movie maker if that helps to open it.
