Posts: 249 Montreal, QC Canada | I had a flat rear tire on our Vision and couldn't plug the hole good enough to stop the leak. I drove on it to my dealer, about 5 miles, and because of the strength of the side walls, I didn't damage my chrome rims at all. I will stay with Dunlop as long as we have this bike. |

+1
These Flops have been great in the rain and are long wearing. I've never felt nervous with them, and they do have a heavier sidewall to keep the tire on the rim in case of a flat |

Does not look like the Pilot GT rear tire offered is the correct size for the Vision. |

180/60-16 rear
Those are the sizes for the Vision.

I most likely will stay with Dunlop also. I had a flat rear tire while on the highway. I was able to drive it home, plug it at home, and been fine ever since. I now carry a plug kit with me so I can do a "field" repair. |

Posts: 311 Atlanta Area | I'm in love with my Bridgestone tires. I've got 4000 miles on them now and they are wearing perfect. I'm a seriously aggressive rider and the Bridgestones are more stable and predictable to me than the stock Dunlops... |

Posts: 311 Atlanta Area | I have no idea if they are quieter... My Vision is pretty loud with the Atom Bomb mufflers. Yes, I am running the Exedras that were made for the Goldwing... |

| I'm running the Avon AV71-72 Cobras and there is no noise like with the E3's.
As to the original question, NO I would not buy them for use at a later date. Tires have a shelf life and chances are they have been on the shelf for a while at the supplier to begin with. You could end up putting some really bad tires on your bike at some point snagging them up now for use later. |

Thanks Teach...I hadn't thought of that. Good advice. Didn't know how good these tires were, but you are right, dry rot wouldn't be worth it.

Are your tires the "Radial" Exedra's? I think they are called the Exedra G850/G851?
I am curious because I want to see if everyone stays with radials? It is a good idea, but I'm just curious?
Thanks |
