Anyone out there in cyber-vision land installed a Powerlet in the center console? I understand that the Victory part comes with a templet for drilling the hole. I am hoping that one of you might still happen to have the templet, and wouldn't mind scanning it, and emailing it to me. I purchased an outlet on eBay, but alas, no templet....

| DWhite28 from here set up a website with the installation instructions for some of the Victory accessories. If you download and print the PDF instructions for installing the cb the template you are asking about is included with those instructions. |

I like the 60" dual socket adapter... you can charge your phone or device while it is locked safely in your saddlebag. The glove box door can easily close with the cable sticking out... I always have my iPhone lead running out to my top mounted RAM mount.

I understand that the 2010 models have gone to a standard size outlet to eliminate the need for an adapter.
Another option that I used was to replace the glove box outlet with a standard size outlet from a local auto parts store (less than $10). This eliminates using so much room in the glove box for the adapter. I then used the OEM outlet in the console for a heated jacket. Saved about $80 over what the dealer wanted for part and install when I purchased the bike.

Posts: 81 Lynnwood, WA | Well, I installed my Powerlet in the console today. Actually, it was pretty darn easy, once I got over the trepidation of drilling a big ol' hole in my dash! Everything was progressing very nicely, and my beer didn't even get warm.... Found the factory connector that plugged right in, got everything back together, and thought I should try checking to make sure I had 12 volts where it was supposed to be. You guessed it, no freekin' power! I thought I might have shorted something out, so took everything apart again. Checked the wiring and didn't find anything pinched or loose. This time I checked the power at the factory plug, and low and behold, nothing there either. Hmmm, I said to myself. I wonder if there is power to the factory plug in the glove box on the left side... Nope, it was dead too! About this time I'm thinking, OK, I blew a fuse. Got out my laptop and found the service manual. Guess what...? It doesn't call out a fuse for the power outlets!!!! I'm thinking, Crap, what have I done now???? I made a call to the dealer where I got the bike, asked for the service department, and was promptly told, "Gee, we've never run into that problem before. Better bring it in so we can have a look at it." I told 'em I would think about it, if I couldn't track down the problem myself. Back to the computer again, and try looking at the wiring diagram. I think I need some new reading glasses! Wiring diagrams are a bitch to trace on a computer screen! Well, I found the power outlets and traced the wires in the diagram. I'm not sure what Victory's thoughts were on this, but they go to the lighted badges on the sides, and the horn! Back out to the garage, and sure enough, the lighted badges don't work and neither does the horn! I don't remember ever using the horn and hadn't noticed the lighted badges recently. Well, there is no fuse for the lighted badges, but there is one for the horn. Opened the fuse box and sure enough, the horn fuse was blown. It's in the left fuse box, by the way. Luckily, there is a spare 20 amp fuse in the right fuse box. Got it replaced and everything back together.
Not sure why I decided to write such a long message, just thought you guys would get a kick out of my frustrations of installing something that was supposed to be easy! Hope this saves someone the frustrations of trying to find the fuse for the power outlets up front!
Oh, if you are in the Seattle area, I have a brand new hole saw that I would be happy to loan ya, if you are wanting to install an outlet or whatever on your bike, that requires 11/16" hole.

Posts: 118 Capitol Region of NH | Also the only outlet that has power all the time is the one in the trunk. The glove box outlet and the wires for the dash outlet and the passenger outlet are on the ignition switch. |

Posts: 215 Boydsville, AR United States | My pasenger outlet, as well as the trunk is hot all of the time. I picked up an adapter, and use the pasenger outlet with my battery tender. Don't need to forget the trunk lite being on, when it is open for the tender. |

Posts: 208 Wichita, Kansas | TerryVV527 - Check out the last section in my tech reference article "Vision Horn Relay Logic". The "horn relay" isn't what it appears to be labelled, i.e. it's not just a horn relay. The wiring you found is correct and that is the way it is shown in the manual. |
