Posts: 3204 Memphis | Etspastimes, TopFuel, Pollolittle and SongFan got together at the new FRS Powersports dealership in Memphis today. Perfect day for riding, 72 degrees. ET (Eddie) was in town as a tire guy for the NASCAR Nationwide Series. He and a Harley buddy, Sonny, rode in from North Carolina yesterday. I arrived at FRS a little before 1:00 and ET and Sonny were already there, chatting with the manager, Brantley. TopFuel (Jim) rolled in about five minutes later and Pollolitte (Brian) right behind him. After 20 minutes of greeting (and getting ET's bike in the shop to fix a broken heated grip cable), we walked across the street to the Side Car Cafe for lunch. We were joined by the head salesman at FRS, Travis. Good food, great company, great day. I look forward to meeting more of you folks from this site face to face someday. If you are ever in the neighborhood, give us a shout. I'll bet you didn't know Memphis had such a Taj Mahal Victory dealership, eh? These guys are the best. (L-R) SongFan, TopFuel, etspastimes. (Pollolittle had bugged out for a "doctor's appointment". I didn't want to know.) |

Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | Tom, Jim & Brian, It was very good to catch up with all of you this afternoon. Service was very good at FRS, prices were in line and work was done quickly. I did make a rookie mistake coming out here, leaving my camera at the house does not happen very often. And after following pollolittle on some of the back roads, I understand why he writes like he does. (I will have to say that I only overdrove one curve.) But I noticed that he may have been a little airborne on the Vision one too many times to come up with some of the stuff he writes. But it was a nice cruise. Maybe next year, I have to get all of you pit passes for the races. More on that then. Till we meet again, ride safe. ET |

Posts: 2027 Brighton, TN | ETSpastimes - good ride, which route did you take back? There are a few 90 degree turns on my way to the house, which adds a little fun to the ride home. He kept up quite well. He was letting us know about his VFC controller and other go fast goodies, so I was trying to make a run of it, with my stock bike.
The lunch crew, awesome chat and eats, would have loved to hang around a little longer, had to go get a shot in the arse. I came back by and found Topfuel and ETS still hanging around. Hopefully, we didn't keep TopFuel out to late.
As for the dealership, they are topnotch and now have one heck of a place to do business. Just wish I had more money to buy stuff to help their cause along. |

I did stay about 2 hours longer than I had planned. I didn't doze off at work that night, unlike someone else that did. (Northwest pilots.) ET and Sonny had some great insider racing stuff they shared with me. Sonny's Ultra Classic was the exact colors and options I'd been trying to locate right up to the point I walked into FRS and sat on my Vision. I was glad to see you return so we could chat some more.
Many thanks to SongFan for orchestrating a great get together.
One last item if no one objects.
A fellow rider's brave young son named Nick is graduating from Army boot camp and heading off to infantry school. Let's keep Nick in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks.

Posts: 388 Salisbury, NC | polittle, I just went to 51 and rode back to the motel. Supper and a long day ahead was on my mind. And if I didn't have the go fast goodies, the extra 300 pounds might not have kept up. But it was a fun ride. ET |
