| varyder, I ride with a group that is pretty much spread across the country, every state. We have several meetings we call rallys in different states throughout the year. Lots of the folks will trailer to the main meeting places for a number of reasons while many (me included) ride to each. Heck I've been known to ride coast to coast for a cup of coffee, lol.
For some folks they can make better time trailering as they don't feel comfy riding after dark, or need to get out of the saddle too often to make good time. Some just can't do distance riding, and yet others want their spouse to go along but they can't do long days in the saddle. Like yourself I always felt "to each their own" but sometimes folks take flack for trailering. I say so long as you are content with the method of transport, thats good enough. I' hate to think someone rode further than they felt comfy doing and got hurt as a result because they wanted to comply with some peer pressure.

Posts: 1117 Northeast Ohio | I trailer if snow is potentially involved. This past year, I trailered the bike to Daytona as there was snow on the ground here in Ohio and they were calling for snow in WV. I also am fearful that I would not be able to get home. I have heard from more than a few riders up here that they would get stuck a few hundred miles away from home on their way back. However, I have jumped on the bike one Friday and made a 600 mile trip to see family in Raleigh NC for a weekend. I would prefer to ride, but with kids and work, the time commitment is too high to get stuck somewhere

Posts: 550 Tacoma, WA | I trailer every winter to Yakima, over the passes, so I can ride with my Dad there, in Yakima. The roads there stay pretty much dry all winter, even with snow in the open feilds. C-cold, but fun!-----Metalguy
