Is it okay to post uplifting non-technical posts on Vision Riders? Well, here goes...

Had a great two hundred mile ride today, having off columbus day? Hey, they gave it to me. Anyway, I had to make a delivery to a friend in Suffolk so since the mail is so slow and doesn't pick-up today I figured I'd deliver it personally. First though, I had to treat my lovely bride to breakfast, before the working stiff had to clock in. Had a great breakfast at Denny's and off I went, knees in the breeze down Rt 35 through courtland.

After I made my delivery I went to see the working stiff and fellow Vision rider David White at All-Out Cycles in Great Bridge Virginia Beach or something like that, just off of Kempsville Battlefield Curtis Boulevard Rd. He knows what I mean. Any way, got to chat with him, show off the VDO and finally get that Bugs Lide stuff he put aside for me about a year ago. Thanks David! He forgot to bring it with him when we rode the RedWing19 Iron Butt back in the spring. But that's okay, I wanted to stop by and see the digs. Great place and people.

On the way back I stopped off at a roadside diner in Smithfield and had a nice little lunch before heading back to the farm. Just a great day of riding, despite the rain as I got closer to home. I was even impressed as gloomy as the day looked, there were a few other riders making their rounds. The only other Vision I saw though, was David's at the dealer.

Sounds like you had a good time. Riding was good for me as well.

I had a 223 mile ride Saturday from San Antonio, to Bulverde, Boerne, back to Bulverde, then to Blanco to eat BBQ at Riley's. Left Blanco for Johnson City and spent some time at the Roasted Pig Rally. The next stop was Austin to visit a grade school friend that was there for the weekend from Dallas and then back home.

On the Bulverde, Boerne, Bulverde run I was riding with a 1989 1500 Goldwing. His headlights were out and he wanted to go back to Bulverde to fix them up. He called me later that it was caused by water in the Kill Switch. Last weekend he road though a frog strangler of a rain and the switch got wet.

The rest of the ride I was solo.

Take care,
