Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | OK I have worked out a system that will allow me to do two sets of 09 cams in a day, and that is the magic number I needed to make this happen. As most of you know the 09 unlike the 08 requires the cam carries to be swapped making them much more parts, and labor intensive. I have a source for the carriers, studs, nuts, and shafts that costs me less then dealer cost, but the stuff is still not free*LOL*
The deal on the 09 is a bit more expensive then the 08, but still very reasonable for what you gain. In order to have a party I need the following commitment for bikes
Two 2009 bikes
Two 2008 bikes, and one 2009
Two 2009 bikes, and one 2008
Three 2008 bikes-Four 2008 bikes
I can not do more, or less then listed above in the time I will have to do it
Prices
2008 is still $1150
2009 is now $1800
Price includes
Cams
Intake plate
VFC3
Carriers, and hardware[2009-2010]
Labor, and basic set up for tune
Results can be found in several places around, but basically you will move from
83/100 to 107+/107+

Posts: 177 Fredonia, WI United States | I have an 08 that I would consider having this done. I live in NE Wisconsin (near Green Bay). If it has to wait until next spring, that would be fine too. Anyone else in the area for a party next year?

Posts: 203 Rapid City, SD | I will want mine done next September/October time frame. Thats when I get back from Korea. I'll be moving to the Kansas City area. Question for Kevin, Can I pay installments while I am over here? Maybe $100 a month just so it will not be such a big hit next year? If thats not possible I guess I could purchase the indivdual pieces/parts and just pay for the installation when I have it done. Thats basically two ideas, just pm me and let me know which one sounds best to you. With that I will ask a couple prep questions...
Also I have a question on the popping. Currently my anniversary vision is completely stock and completely pop-free. Will the cams alone change this or does the popping rear its head with pipes? Also will pipes add extra power or will the cams alone be enough? I do love the sound of a good set of pipes but I also enjoy listening to my radio. Its a tradeoff I am still not sure about. Plus I don't think I want the popping.
I haven't had experience with the popping others have talked about but I am hesitant to do something that may start it popping. Just not sure how big of an annoyance it really is.
