I think that I finally have it figured out after looking at the service manual. If you get the Big Gulp the small filter goes on the front of the frame in the same place that the Victory high capacity filter from the Stage 1 kit would go. The large filter or the intake plate from Lloydz would go where the rectangular plate is on the top of the box frame/air intake. Do I understand it correctly?

It you use the Lloydz intake plate do you then use either the Victory or the Big Gulp front filter?
With the Lloydz intake plate it looks like you end up without a filter on the top?

Does anyone know what effect it will have if you just change the intake on an otherwise stock Vision? Is it better to start with the exhaust first and then do the intake?

It's funny, I have always loved hot rods but have never been able to do them. Now that I am 60 I'm itching to do some wrenching, but I'm so conservative that even the thought of changing the air filter on a stock bike seems like a big step out!

Thanks for any help.

Bob

Loyds plate is a foam filter, and yes it goes under the sterwo on the back bone. Same for the big sucker filter.

No harm installing it with stock exhaust, but IU doubt you will find anty gain either

I installed lloydz intake on my stock vision the beginning of this season. Seat of the pants it seemed that it had a little more git-n- go to it . The proof was that last season I ran at the local 1/4 mile track. The bike pulled consistant 13.8's ,this year (same time of season) It ran 13.5 and picked up a mile per hour. In the for what it's worth dept. you get good bang for the buck getting more air into the bike.

Digby,

At 13.8 and 13.5 how fast were you at a 1/4 mile?

Just wondering.

KevinX,

There are a few choices with air filtration on these Visions. Do you personally have a preference on the brand and/or style of filter for best results?
