Fountain Inn, SC United States | I received an email with this question and thought I'd post it here for you all to answer...
Is the 2010 Vision 8 Ball seat the same as Ness seat? I read where Ness seat was a little hard. Thanks Ken

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I have no information to base my answer off of, but the 8-Ball is not a Ness. I've heard that the seat is hard on a Ness, we have one at the dealer and I've never sat on it. It carries no appeal for me, however, the 8-Ball, well that is a different story, I'd take that over a Ness any day. Nothing against Mr. Ness and his creations. |

As far as i know, the seat is the same as a stock Vision seat only instead of the 4 inches of padding you get 2 inches of padding. That information could still be wrong. I usually dont believe much till i actually see it. |

It I believe will accept the back rest also. It does not look like the Vision 8-Ball has those features. I'm sure they are on the same pan, and they both look to have the same elevation and cut, just looks like the covers are different. Because the design of the Vision (frame) is the same on all Visions, I would say you could buy a stock seat and put on these two Visions, or you could buy one of these seats and put on the Visions we own today. One for when you "Street" and one for when you "Tour", it's just money. Isn't is just a great bike! |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | My dealership ordered one and unfortunately it was supposed to have arrived before this coming weekends fall Victory ride. It is slated to be our dervice managers demo bike. I was going to check out the seat when it got here, but they just informed them, that the model is running late for everyone and it wont be here for another month. So dont look for the 8Ball Vision at any dealership for another month or so. I did ride the Ness Vision SEAT SUCKS but if you just gotta have a leather seat with Arlen ness's initials embroidered on it for your butt to sit on, then this still might be the seat for you, but be mindful, you are giving up comfort and back support to sit on a brick with Arlens "N" pressed against your buttinsky. |

| According to Arlen when he was in town the Vision 8 ball is the stock Vision seat with some of the padding removed.
The Ness Vision seat is a completely different animal and I believe its made by Corbin. |
