| Anybody interested in doing an Az. Cam party. I have a location all we need are 4 more bikes and Kevin will set it up. I am even willing to throw the after party BBQ and host a ride.
Location is Central Phoenix... 3 Mi. north of I-10

| I live in Mesa and have some interest in the cams. I would like to have more info on what parts are included and what is done to the bike and what is the total cost ? Maybe Kevin can respond to my question. Also, my Vision is a 2009 model - are these cam parties for just the 2008 models or do they include the 2009's? Thanks for the info!!! |

Posts: 1340 Gainesville Fl Home of the Gators | While a dyno would be nice for fine tune. I have done a bunch of these things, and have settled on a base tune that works VERY well. In fact those that have dynoed their bikes made either no change, or very small changes.
At the moment these parties are for 08 only. I have several 09's schedualed for doing here, and getting my speed up to snuff. So don't worry 09 people. your time is coming |

| Kevin, Thanks for the response to my question, I'm sure that you are busy !! However, can you briefly explain why Victory changed the design of the 2009 cams and what is the difference from the 2008? Are they a better design or just different !!!! Thanks for your information !!! |

Design was changed for ease of production. The cam carrier was changed to a one piece unit that eliminates a step in the engine building process. Not better; just different.
This does make for a bunch more work, as the body needs to come off to get the carriors out. Then the shafts, and rockers need to be swapped into the old style crriers.
As you may have guessed the 09's require more labor, and more parts to get the job done. My hope is that I can get to the point of being able to do two of these in a day |
