Posts: 143 Sparta, WI | After riding with the L/2-S/2 pipes for the last year I took matter into my own hands and went back to stock. Riding is a joy again. No more popping, no more bull shit. My Vision is now the same bike I test road 15 months ago. Sweet functioning machine. Let's ride! |

Posts: 143 Sparta, WI | Thanks for the tip. I will look into the magic of KevinX but right now the loss of the popping is like a bad spell has been taken away from me. I'm so happy I could just shit. Probably will need a year a so before I need that new bike feeling again, at that time I will visit KevinX. |

Posts: 244 Fargo, ND | I am currently running an '08 with no engine mods whatsoever. After visiting a bit with Atom-12 and following his advice, I recently had my stock mufflers re-baffled by BOBVIC and have run them almost 1,500 miles with no reflash and still using the stock intake filter. Not only do the mufflers sound much better than the Victory S1L1 or S1L2, I have absoluty no popping on decel and only a very occasional single pop when I upshift, usually when the bike is cold. It seems to pull stronger through the entire rpm range, but I can't verify that and the nice deep rich tone is very nice. It is not as loud as my Hammer swept pipes, but louder than stock. I highly recommend this mod (for only $200 plus shipping) if you are tired of the Stage 1 issues (that I was also never able to eliminate on my Hammer). I pulled the plugs after about 500 miles, and they look clean and proper color. No signs of either overly lean or rich conditions. It might be worth looking into in your case Minnow. |

Posts: 143 Sparta, WI | Thanks nohawg, I will look into it. The main thing right now is that I can cruise and not get angry and that is all good with me. I ride to realign my focus and to find my peace not to feel like killing someone. The popping was gonna drive me to the edge. |

| Glad you posted that, Nohawg- I've been trying to figure a cost effective (read:CHEAP) way to get some kinda respectable noise out of the bike. S1L1, S1L2, with their respective issues posted here, or the cost of the Lloyd's work just isn't in the cards for me in this economy. The Vision looks way too scooterlike to be stuck with a pffffttt exhaust note as well. |

Would you mind letting us know the price tag? Separately, if possible? |

| $350 for the Arizona slammers. The stock muffler is modified, so the cost is all labor - might be able to do yourself but I'm not mechanical in any way shape or form so wouldn't know what to take out or leave in!!!! It really does sound great, I am quite pleased !!! Like I said no popping, at least not yet and I have been up in the mountains, so have experienced different elevations !!! |

Posts: 311 Atlanta Area | Wow, I could have kept the Atom Bomb source quiet, charge $350, had all you guys ship me your stock cans, had Bob mod the pipes for $200 and pocket $150!
A smart businessman I am not... |

| I guess if you take the cost of shipping into consideration and time to take off the pipes and put then back on it might be a wash !! Oh well didn't know about Bob anyway !!! |

Posts: 184 Allen Park, MI | Does anyone know if you can mod Stage 1's? I bought the bike with Stage 1's on it and not knowing purchased another set and had them put on....thanks to the dealership not telling me the truth when I asked it they were stock pipes ( of which they said yes....dammit) I now have a pair of slightly used Stage 1's that I could have moded without down time if its possible.

Posts: 311 Atlanta Area | Coop, Bob can probably mod the L1 pipes. You may want to contact him and send him some pictures of the inlet and outlet ends of the pipe and see if there is enough material to work with for him to work his magic... |
