| Has anyone installed a wire harness for a pull behind trailer
Any recommendations
I installed the hitch doc but did not come with wire harness
The only company that has one is from bushtec but very expensive.
Just curious

Have used on 02 TC and 08 Vision
It is a splice in, but once you know which wires are which its a .5 hour job.

The harness is underneath the seat. Look for the LARGE plug on the right side.

Posts: 308 Vineland, NJ United States | I considered that, but Hopkins kit doesn't supply additional power or isolate trailer from bike, it just converts power from individual lighting to combination lighting for the trailer (meaning the trailer uses the same lights for blinker, brakes, park). This forum and other wrenches told me to use an "isolater" so the trailer lighting does not affect the bike lighting or the bike computer. To make a long story short, my dealer is doing it because I don't want to f-up my 5 year warranty on a $24,000 bike for 1.5 hours of labor cost. |

| Try The Electrical Connection, they sell a trailer isolator wiring harness that will separates the bike and trailers wiring systems in case of a problem with the trailers wiring. It is $64.95 with is reasonable for what it is and does. Here is the link:
