| FWIW, the factory horn blows into the left fairing skirt which significantly muffles the horn. You can remount the horn on the other side of the mounting plate and have it blow down towards the ground using the same mounting hardware. This will move the horn from inside the fairing to the just the side of the inside of the fairing. The horn is noticeably louder at the cost of being more exposed to the elements.
To do this, you will have to remove and replace 1 bolt and one nut without having to remove any body panels. I found my factory horn to be fairly useless at highway speeds. HTH, Tim |

| I added that horn in addition to the factory horn. Now I have a 3 tone horn. They advertise this horn @ 139dB, but that is only @ 4 inches. Normal audio output is measured @ 1 meter. When you measure this horn @ 1 meter it is in the 120 dB range (about 4X softer than 139dB as perceived by the human ear). |

| I mounted this horn just the other side of the factory horn with the bell in the open and the housing behind the fairing.

Posts: 1324 So Cal | People in LA ignore sierens, I dont think a louder horn will help. The new cell phone law kicks in in July. If I were a cop, I'd be up early July 1st. If they really enforce it, this towns gonna be rich!!!!! |

I wish that were true, but I've actually held the horn button down as I was being cut off and not one look into the rear view, nothing, it was as if I wasn't even there. Some people get in their cars and the moment the door is shut, they are the only thing that exists. |

Actually, that might be a good HD, it's brass so it has that retro look. |
