Any body have the DGD-KIM-V2 Keyless Ignition Module & RFID Dawg Tag From Cycle Solutions http://tinyurl.com/meuecv and does it void your warranty if installed?

Thanks, Rex

From a security point of view it might be a good thing, but dont you still have to carry the fob and your key to lock the steering and sidebags/trunk. Seems to me to be just another thing to carry, and another piece of electronics to go bad, but this is just my opinion. Got me into trouble a couple of times on my Ultra...was working on the bike at home, fob on the bench, needed to run to the store, bike started, went to the store, came out and .....aww S&%t, fob still was on the bench at home. Ended up walking 4 miles that day...forgot about the turn signals on the HD to access the code.

Dang, that's the second belly laugh I've had in 10 minute's time. My coworkers are ready to move my desk outside.

It is reassuring to learn that there are other people out there who do sh!t like this, because I was starting to feel a bit lonely.

Had one on the 2008 Harley-Davidson Road Glide and love it and yes I still had to carry the FOB & a key.

Yes you still have to carry the fob but you don't need to fish around in your pocket at every stop for a key which is a big plus in my book. Then there is the whole key chain swirling around your dash you do not need to deal with.
It is a lot of money for a minor convenience, but well worth it on road trips in my humble opinion.

I have the Bulldog keyless on my Vision and like it, but if I did it again, (which I will) I would just get the model with the swap out module under the windshield cover. It is not keyless, but still disables the ignition when RFID fob is not present. The main difference is that one can turn on the power and attempt a start-just won't fire off. This of course would require the key or a hot wiring of the bike. It's also $200 cheaper than the keyless-which requires you to cut into the factory wiring harness. The other one is plug and play-no cutting.

Correction on the above price- I think it's $100 cheaper. Anyway it's half the keyless one. I just forgot how much I had paid.

We have the Guard Dawg Security System and have no problems with it. We had it installed by our Dealer, and never gave any thought if it would void any warranty. We ordered a spare fob just in case. We always have the fob with us on the key chain. You still need the key for the Vision to open the gas tank and storage areas. I keep it in my pocket and just shake my leg and the bike "wakes up".

Just a general question.......... is it REALLY that taxing to turn that little key on the dash thats 20 inches away from you? I mean lets talk about the REALLY important stuff here like
1. How do i install a cooling system in my side bags to keep my beer cold
2. I love riding the bike so much that I hate to stop and put my feet down. Are there auto retractable stopping pegs so i can just keep my
feet up all the time?
3. How can I install an auto drive system so i can nap while on route. The bike is so comfortable i just wanna nap on it...

now THOSE are real serious questions and modifications................

BTW Chrome is the fastest color, only if trimmed in BLACK

This would not work in the side bag but it might fit in the trunk or on the trunk rack or on the back seat. http://tinyurl.com/mvhk67

2. I love riding the bike so much that I hate to stop and put my feet down. Are there auto retractable stopping pegs so i can just keep my feet up all the time?

These would be just right for you. http://www.landingear.com/ or http://tinyurl.com/mms9uo

This could work but you would have to hire some one to drive while you took a nap on your bike. http://dealer.damonrv.com/motorhomes/outlaw/

I use the rLink alarm. It is RFID run, sot the fob stays in my pocket at all times. If I loose the fob, there is an override code using the blinkers switch. Most of the time I leave the key in the ignition so I don't loose it but don't like the idea of someone seeing it and hoping on 'trying' to start it with only the key. Witchdoctor I think makes a flushmount key so you wouldn't even notice a key there.

I didn't see any discussion here on 'how to lock the steering'. Does the 'keyless' thing engage the steering lock? I have to wrestle with mine - just not sure how 'keyless' would engage it without some kind of massive servo. Or do the 'keyless' folks just not bother with steering lock? And if so - WHY ?

i cant speak for the THIS system, but my buddy had another one just like it and all it did was allow you to start your motorcycle withOut a key. it did nothing for the steering lock or in our case saddle bags and trunk. and to be honest, my buddy had more than a few issues with his system. one it left it stuck on a road trip. Maybe it was a defective system? I like the idea of it but seems a little pricey for all that it does?

My car has keyless ignition. Steering locks when ignition is off and transmission is in park. Keyless means I don't need a key to 'start', 'unlock doors/trunk','listen to the sound system','raise/lower windows'.
So for a bike, I would expect: ignition, gas cap release, steering lock, trunk & bag opening'. Just 'ignition' means I need to get the key out anyway cuz I always lock the steering. ALMOST always .... so this is another toy I shall avoid.
