I'm having the front tire replaced and I'm trying to get the wheel off. I've got the Vision shop manual and I can't seem to find the specs for the front axle. Big allen, I'm guessing a 15mm. I've got to go and buy and not sure if they make sets that cover this or if I'll just wind up getting one wrench.
Thanks in advance! |

Posts: 71 Willmar, MN | Ok...but is there loc tite on it? I tried taking mine off to change fork oil, Didn't have the hex bit so I double nutted a bolt and used that. Just twisted the head off. Yes, the pinch bolts were loosened. So I ordered a set of hex wrenches and I'll try it again. |

| If you have a spark plug socket, stick an extension in it backwards and the other end, the end with flats, will fit. You might have to remove the rubber grommet or whatever from the socket.
edit: oops, doesn't fit on this bike, sorry. On a lot of the japanese bikes that hex is 24mm, and the socket fits perfectly. This is smaller, probably 15 mm or 5/8 like the dudes said. But if you ever buy a yamaha...
