| Good Morning! Searched the forum for an answer, but came up dry. I'm just about convinced to upgrade to the J&M speakers, but how do I access the speaker enclosures in the front & rear of the Vision Tour? I called J&M. They don't provide any help. They only provide instructions for connecting the new speakers. So, on the web or this forum, where can I download either a .pdf file with pics or an online video somewhere, that shows me precisely how to disassemble the fairing and trunk, to get to the speakers? Thanks, Vince. |

Remove the gauge cluster bezel, this also is just a pop out, held by clips. Use a plastic scrapper and pry up an edge, then you can pull off.
There are a couple of bolts on the back side of the mirror if I remember right, little hands work good at this, or just take your time and remove the bolts, mirror is free now. I think the bolts are 10 mm.
At this time you will be able to see all the screws that hold on the spearker grill cover, remove those and there are the speakers.
Rear speakers, two screws at the top of the cover, remove those and the cover will hinge off.
Hope this helps as I'm remembering of the top of my head. Also, some speaker wires are cut short, so I maybe a pain to get them unhooked from the speaker and then get the other hooked up. |

There are two, a 10MM hex in the back of the mirror which is a pain for large hands, and a silver allen bolt on top. I think the allen is 6MM. When you put it back together make sure the tab on the back of the mirror is in the slot. It will make sense when you see it. |

Open the trunk lid and you will see two black screws that hold each speaker grill on. Remove those two screws and the grill comes off. Depending on how big your hands are, you might want to remove the passenger seat backrest for better access. The screws that hold it on are inside the trunk too. They are large silver colored button head socket screws. I believe there are three of them.
The front is a bit more tricky. I replaced both front and rear speakers. Here is my posting on it:

There is a link at the beginning of that posting to my pics that might help you see what needs to come off. |
