Posts: 460 Centennial, CO | I ran into a fellow rider today and asked him if he was on Vision-Riders. He said, no, that he was on the vog.net. I told him to come over and get on. He said he may do that when he gets back home in a few days.
I am going to look him up and say hey. But I am unsure if I should PM him about this site for fear of being flamed. |

Posts: 1324 So Cal | The person that started the vog.net website used to be on here and went off on his own. Dont know the details. I like this site better has a less commercial feel. I think I can safely say, not really speaking for anyone else, that if you own a Vision, thinking about buying a Vision or just want to know more abot the Vision. You are more than welcome here. |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | how's it poaching? some people are members of many different forums at the same time to get complete information. I run between here and theVMC. The VMC is much more lighthearted but you can get an answer if you need help over there as well. As far as the VOGnet, it has information, but I feel it is more show than go. But that's not your question is it. Don't see an issue to PM him and give him the link and then let him decide. |

| I'm a member of the VOG net as well, and used to be a member of the Kingpin enthusiasts group. Can't imagine there'd be a limit on how many groups you can participate in. |

Posts: 496 Scottsdale AZ | Andy aka- Palmbeachrider here, (VOG.net), has been a contributor here for quite some time - although I haven't seen any posts lately. Just knowing him early on with his posts I know he is a promoter of motorcycles in general and any subject of any brand, in any forum, would be just fine with him.
Andy has been a real supporter of the Vision and has several tech and general info clips on his site that are quite good. In fact when he first purchased his Vision he did an excellent, day by day, review of the Vision. I think he has since sold it.
Anyway, Andy is one of us.

Posts: 2118 Pitt Meadows, BC Canada | I left a post over there maybe a year ago suggesting that Vision owners should check out this site.
Well, you wouldn't believe the snot nosed comment I got fired back at me about 'poaching' (not from Andy) - likely from a non-Visioneer.
Fact is, many Vision owners don't know about this site - only about 1/3 of the owners are members of Vision-Riders. We have almost 400 new members since I started my thread on this subject.

Posts: 72 Newberry, Mi. | PM away man. Nothing wrong about informing owners or prospective owners about forums, people and information about the Vision.
I check out a few different Vision forums because I want as much information as I can find. With that said, I prefer this forum because there is more activity. Some of the other forums seem a bit stale since the posts are less frequent. |

Seems to me Vision riders, being unlike other bikers, are much more into knowledge dispersement than site and /or brand snobbery. So I agree that the snot nose probably wasn't one of us.
The fact is that I heard about this site on the VOG net. These are the only two sites I need to go to to get info and keep updated.

Posts: 72 Newberry, Mi. | Kind of a broad stroke there Dimonback. Every type of bike has stereotypes that sometimes fit and sometimes don't.
Even at this site I've seen the entire spectrum just like sites of other bikes. At this site and others I just try to bring something positive to the table and try to take away only the positive info. and experiences. |

| Yep, every bike group has stereotypes. So do Vision riders. I maintain that as a group we're somewhat different. |

Posts: 208 Wichita, Kansas | I read the VOG and the pay site (only occasionally for that one). Being a Vision specific site, I've found this site to be friendlier, more helpful and much more technical. He'd more likely be upset about not knowing about this site.
You're more likely to get flamed on the pay site where a lot of non-visioneers hang out. They seem to live for that over there. |

Posts: 152 Litchfield Park, AZ | I am a member of both forums and found out about Vision-riders FROM the VOG.net. If you have a preference for one site over the other that is each of our God-given rights. My opinion is that both sites are very similar in value for what is brought to the table. This site obviously is made specifically for Vision riders whereas the VOG is geared towards Vistory motorcycles in general. Why in the hell can't someone go between the 2 sites without turning it into some sort of high school clique? I say spend time on both! Promote Victory every chance you get.

Since Jam and Miles has kicked this site into high gear, I can not get enough of Vision-Riders.com. I normally drop by one to four times a day.
I check out theVOG about three times a week and visit theVMC about five times a week if I am not active on a thread. If I have an active thread going or helping someone out, I go by the other sites more often.
This site has the best technical content, the most active and archive threads about the Vision that I have found. I was looking at the number of posts on Vision-Riders.com and was shocked. There is allot of content here and the content has real information and not much BS.

Posts: 1324 So Cal | I found this site when my Vision was still on order. Victory was jerking everyone around. If it werent for this site I would have canceled my order. There was a lot of BS on here then. It was out of frustration. I still cant believe how Victory jerks people around when they have a great product. Not perfect. Frustration again. This site is like hangin out in the garage with your riding buddies with maintanence on everyones mind. And between the story telling and the beer drinking and the pizza eating the task at hand gets done, and done right.

I have to say that I check the other more.. I am in 4 different forums..
Probably due to the fact that I came from a Kingpin to a Vision and already have a routine when it comes to checking the forums that I participate in..
As for the subject of this thread.. Just send the rider a pm and let the person decide what they want to do...

Yes he has sold his Vision, To me !
Andy is a stand up guy and as said earlier he welcomes all and promotes riding and riding with safety.
I belong to The Vog as well as here. Also as said earlier, we are all riders and it doesnt matter where you get info. We are all here and there to better our riding experiences.
Something i like about the Vog is that there isnt any badmouthing of others. I have seen alot of it on other sites. As Rodney said, "Cant we all just get along?" And for gods sake, lets be careful out there !

+1
This site was a blessing for everyone waiting for deliveries. Talk about frustration with Victory. We were all given delivery dates that were postponed time and time again, and then when it did arrive the accessories we ordered were even worse for delivery.
You want to hear some whinnin-- search for "Buckeye" and his posts.

Fountain Inn, SC United States | ElroyJ - No your, not poaching. Go ahead and PM him.
All - Vision-Riders and theVOG are both great sites but with a different slant. While Vision-Riders is focused on the Vision, theVOG is similar to the Victory-Riders Network (VRN) site in that they are more like a social network focusing on the riders (hence the VRN's logo, "It's all about the Riders").
Both theVOG and the VRN let you upload photos, videos, chat, post discussions, and create groups. What kind of groups you ask? I can't speak for theVOG, but on the VRN it can be any type of group you want, not tied to geography (ie, Victory Hammer Owners, Oklahoma Red Dirt Riders, Over-fed Beer Drinkers, etc.). What ever distinction you want. Each VRN group comes with it's own "Comment Wall" like Facebook, and it's own discussion forum. Photos can be uploaded from your camera phone too, just like Facebook. theVOG probably has some of the same features as well. The VRN caters (but is not limited) to Victory owners/enthusiasts while theVOG is I believe open to anyone.
...my apologies if that came across like a plug for the Victory Riders Network, I just wanted to make the distinction between the different sites. If you're a fan of theVOG, that's fine too.

BTW JAM, you have other things to do like granting permissions to any ole joe schmoe then to go around posting shameless plugs, no shame, that's you!
