maybe I'm not catching it in time, but a the dealer they never have anything I like in my size. The things that they do have in my size I wouldn't put on my dog. I've not seen anything in the catalog, is there a seperate one that you can order direct from Victory? When I ask my dealer about variety or size the response is always "that's what they send us."

When I asked Victory about T-Shirts and such at a Biketoberfest in Florida I was told.. "We build motorcycles, not t-shirts."

FWIW, there's a Vision-Riders T-Shirt Sale going on right now!!!

I have soooo many ideas for Victory clothing.  I'll be forced to retire from my current job in less than 5 years and when that happens I'm gonna go have a talk with the marketing department at Victory.  I might try to start a poster department also.

maybe I should not buy any Victory merchandise, it's free advertisement. I guess that is something they don't want along with no customer service. I feel like I'm in the land of OZ, the wizard exists but don't tell no one and we don't want to hear from you either.

I agree, my dealer and I agree that the Victory t-shirt designs suck, and they never have my size either. I think shirts and stuff are after thoughts. But, from an advertising and financial stand point, they certainly shouldn't be. With all the economic ups and downs of late, the accessory branch of HD was keeping them afloat. I'm sure not JUST clothing, but aparently a large part of their revenue was coming from this. They charge $20 for a shirt that probably costs $1 to make. Plus advertising for a company that is still not well known. I get asked all the time, who makes my bike. Tell them, and get more blank stares, tell them they are part of Polaris, they get it. So, people know Polaris, so they see jet skis and ATV's, but don't know their motorcycles. It's called brand recognition. I don't know if they will, but I have told many a person looking to buy a bike to give them a try, and that they allow you to test ride. That lights up most people's eyes because HD doesn't usually do that except on demo days.

But the point is, yes, they make bikes, not shirts, but if people don't know you make bikes, how can you expect to sell more of them a grow? Plus, clothing is a major profit center for bike manufacturers. They need to step up, get some professional design people in, because the ones that are doing it now do not know how to design good shirts, and put a little time and effort into it. I'm not going to buy another Vision tomorrow, but I will buy a $20 t-shirt if I think it looks cool.

Note: all of my good Victory t-shirts came from doing demo rides. I have not seen, or bought one t-shirt at a dealer. Primarily because they weren't very good designs. Oh, and they never have XL in stock.

Short sleeve and long sleeve T-shirts and hoodies, as the current generation calls hooded sweatshirts, should be plentiful and priced right.

As divesharc was saying, it's good advertising. It's amazing how so many people after ten years in production, still haven't heard of Victory.

You can buy HD apparel at Wal-Mart for kids and adults in every size but it's hard to get Victory cloths in the right size even at the dealer.

i don't and i'm for sure, but doing a licensed name product for one self is one thing, selling it is another....

Vision Riders is okay, because that is the licensed product, Victory Motorcycles USA is licensed, I believed.... I don't know

I don't, I just tossed that out in the wind to see where it would land.

For the most part I don't wear advertisement, though I do have a big Vic patch on my vest, nothing on my jacket. I'm even thinkin' of taking the Vic patch off. I don't have nothing against sportin' Victory, but it is not my bag to be a walking billboard for anyone.

I do have a Motor Company shirt that's from Mexico. I rode my bike there when I went to see my son last year. I looked for a black T-shirt that just said mexico on it and wouldn't you know it, that is the only one I could find.

I bring the shirt back and show it to my Harley buddies and they all wanted it. I told them they could have it if they could meet one criteria, if they had rode their Harley into Mexico. Needless to say, I still got my shirt and I'll wear it sometimes just to bug them.

Actually, all I was looking for was a Victory shirt with a smaller logo on the left breast or center, and then maybe that logo on the back in larger style. Nothing spectacular, nothing flashy, just a simple shirt. Normally, I am not a billboard. However, maybe partially because Victory is not that well known, I don't feel like a sell out for wearing their shirts. I do have a certain pride since I own one, and because it's cool to be the under dog. What is kinda stupid is all the guys that put Harley stickers on the rear window of their truck, or wear a Harley shirt and they've NEVER owned one. Maybe they rode their friends one time or something. But I guess people wear Nike shirts and don't even like the shoes. WHo knows. I just want a cool simple, not too trashy shirt. Is that too much to ask?

+1 !

Some of the "little" $--+ keeps you in the black so that you CAN build motorcycle.. The ONLY manufacture that gets this is H-D.. They make nearly as much yearly on gear as they do on motorcycles. It makes their dealerships destinations for every rally, their stores are packed with all kinds of bikes from all different manufactures. Why wouldn't you want people constantly coming in and out of your store? If it's only for a t-shirt initially, won't they have to walk around and through all your motorcycles?

This AIN'T rocket (motorcycle) science.... Keep them coming in and spending money... Nothing is too small if that is what the consumer is looking for.. Sometimes it is just a small thing that makes someone loyal to your product...

I totally agree with the dealership thing. If they had more or at least a decent amount of items to choose from i would make a point to ride to them.

to chime in again, whatever strategy that Victory is using is working, because they do sell Motorcycles. They probably laugh somewhat if they read our rants here and other forums and then another bike rolls out the door. They don't put much in marketing on clothing and they have very little ads, and they leave it up to the local "dealer" to make the plugs. Yet, they sell motorcycles....

I really don't know all that they do, but for them to stay in business by selling motorcycles is the goal. The question is, is Victory themselves keeping the business? Are the investors pleased? Apparently. So then, who really gives a rats patutie if I can't go to the local dealer and buy a shirt off the rack IN MY SIZE with a cool Victory, or Vision logo on it?

But they do want me to upgrade my exhaust... that seems like the number plug anytime I walk in the door. There must be a hefty profit on dem puppies too!
