So Cal | I pulled my trunk off yesterday so I could have the accident damage repaired.
Boy what a diffrence. The extra weight missing from the back really changes the handling. I need to take some air out of the shock though. My kidneys will thank me. Even the milage has improved. Since the cover panel is on backorder I will have to ride with the frame exposed. Didnt realize how small the opening is. Hardly notice it anyway. |

Newberry, Mi. | Wow. The difference is obviously very noticeable. Sounds like the only time I'll have the trunk mounted is when my wife is along for the ride. |

| +1 My trunk was off for a month when the wife was busy with her stuff, can't wait til after next weekend, she is busy for a while, trunk will be gone for a couple of weeks.
She is a great bike with trunk, beyond reality without trunk. |

So Cal | I thought about putting stud where the bolts go, but then the cover panel wont fit.

| Does anyone have the Victory Wall Mount for the Trunk? I was going to order one, but for a hundred bucks I figured I would make one instead and wondered how theirs worked?

Goldsboro, NC | When I bought my Vision, it was a Street on the shop floor and I wanted a Tour. Ugly details aside, I ran without the trunk for a couple weeks. Milegae, comfort and COG aside, I like the aerodynamics with the trunk a LOT better.
Running as a street, I had wind blowing on my back that made me uncomfortable, especially during winter (I ride year 'round). The trunk catches the eddy current and either directs it to the rear or it simply divides it and sends it down the sides. Either way, the trunk removes the feeling of listening to an obama speech (where he's constantly blowing something up our a$$es)

Kansas City, Ks | I have the Tour Premium... The wife and I were at a Victory shop and they had a Street with a back rest installed. We sat on it and she preferred the feel of it instead of the trunk. She liked the fact that she can lean further back than she can with the trunk.. So, I get to have both!!!

My wife likes the back rest way better than the trunk. We took one long trip with the trunk & she said it had to go. Same thing. She said she couldnt lean back. |

Glendale, AZ. | I have the wall bracket that Victory sells for the trunk. It mounted real easy and is easy to use. I really like the way the bike handles without the trunk. I also think it looks better!

Litchfield Park, AZ | When I bought my Vision it came with the backrest (trunk came off the bike) and then I added the luggage rack. I kept staring at the tour pack sitting in my garage so I installed it one evening.....last about 4 hours and I pulled it right back off the bike. In my humble opinion this bike was made to run naked! I love the Vision with the tour pack sitting in the garage. If I need extra space I'll throw a bag on the luggage rack. |

New Bohemia, VA | I love the Vision without the pack as well, but I can't seem to come off the Gleezer Glide. I work with a computer I have to drag home everyday, and some days it is raining. So I keep the pack on, I had it off for a while, and really liked that, but just the same the bike can handle the extra weight. It's like being torn between too lovers...ones just a little heavier... |

Yeah, without the trunk it's easier to do the lone ranger approach as long as you clear the backrest....   |

I have the panel but have not tried it yet. Now I have recently ridden a friends after he pull his trunk off. I liked it and am going to have to give it a shot.

So Cal | Mines black and the left side lid is missing also. But its pretty close. My panels on backorder. Probably have the trunk backon before it comes in. Both pieces will be back from paint friday. |

Stopped on the highway and met a fellow VV rider. He is on the vog...I am going to invite him to come here as well. I wouldn't consider that poaching...would anybody? Hope not! Anyway...he may end up here!
Only a few VV's so far! But its all good!
Oh...you may think you are the only one with a particular color until you show up to a gathering and park next to 5 other Cherry bikes just like yours. Hilarious! |
