Posts: 550 Tacoma, WA | I just took a trip with my Dad to Northern Cali this last week. Between Monday after work, and yesterday when I returned, was over 1800 miles. Here is a short video of Crater lake, in Oregon.

One of the beautiful places we saw, while avoiding the heat in Western WA last week. We headed toward the coast at Willis, CA, and between there and Ft Bragg, CA we experienced road construction, and temps over 104 degrees. It sux waiting on fresh blacktop at those temps. The rest of our way home was rarely over 70 degrees! The coast was beautiful, as were the redwoods. Fantastic ride. If anyone goes up 101, I reccomend the "Trees of mystery". You can't miss it, there is a giant Paul Bunyan, and Babe the blue ox out front. --------Metalguy

Posts: 215 orrick, mo | When visiting Crater Lake take as much insect repellant as possible. The mosquitos are mean as hell. I was there the first part of July and the bugs where worse than the hail storm I was caught in will there. Enjoy and ride safe.
