Did the Panhandle coastline today from Panama City to Sopchoppy along w/two friends, one on a new Concours 14 and the other an 1100 Roadstar.  The Concours guy traded from a Harley UC and had a radar detecter so we put him up front.  Mostly ran about 65-70 but he couldn't resist passing whenever it was a bit of a challenge (double yellow lines ahead, 3 cars at a time, etc.).

I thought about a Concours briefly.  Would have saved some money but I know I wouldn't have been happy w/it.  Granted he can fly but most of the time we had no problem passing with him--run up to 90/95 and pull back in.  If it was too tight we just waited.  The Yamaha surprised me.  Point, however, is after the 5-10 second "thrill" we're back cruising along a beautiful coastline and I know I'm much more comfortable than he is.  He admits he misses his stereo from the Harley, he can't smoke on the Concours and his wife won't ride w/him anymore (which is a bummer since she's the only "hot" wife in our bunch LOL).

So I gues what I'm saying is personally I'm all into comfort.  The Vision (and most other bikes) will go much faster than I ever plan on.  I've got about 1,500 on the Utopia backrest now and it's by far the best addition to the bike for me.  We did about 220 miles today and I had no problem whatsoever w/my back.  I still have a bit of discomfort as a result of the birth defect that left me w/no butt however Canari riding shorts have helped that somewhat.  I'm going to order some LD Comforts and thinking of trying a sheepskin to add a few more miles of pleasure.  Plus w/a heat index of 104 today that black vinyl will scorch you after it's been parked awhile.  Any thoughts on sheepskin?  I've tried beads and they seem to help a bit but I end up puting them on, taking them off, can't decide if they're worth the trouble.

Last question--is there a link to review your own posts?  Turned 60 last month and its a terrible thing to forget whether I've already posted the same thing a week ago.

If your into comfort the Vision was a good choice. Best thing about riding is you can set your own pace. Flat out or just cruise, as long as you have the right tunes, all is well.
