The temperature readout on the Vision really DOES have 3 digits!

(I know, we're weather wimps. I'm the first to admit it. )

I've had mine read as high as 109f, even though the actual temp was 98f. But that's here in Central Va where it will get hot a few weeks a year.

Well, let's hope that is the last time you read that temp, locally at least!

My Vision is PARKED until the temperatures here in Vancouver get below 30 degrees (around 90 for those of you who refuse to join the rest of the world). It is simply unhealthy to ride in the heat we are having - I was stuck in the US/Canada border on Sunday for 60 minutes - stop-go-stop-go-stop - one car length every couple or three minutes. You HAVE to shut the motor off then restart each time - or you would be hospitalized.

We have had 40 days this year at over 100F. I am still riding but then again, I am crazy.

Ride Safe

Weatherman just reported hottest July on record in PHX - average 108.x. My Vision temp is always about 112 due to the asphalt on these days. Looks like the 10 day is averaging 110. BTW, my swimming pool feels really good after a ride! Come on September!

I can live with the temp - my gripe is my electric bill runs $600 in July! Ouch!

Wow, here in the Chicago-Milwaukee area we are having a rather cool summer as we haven't had a 90 degree day yet in July but had a couple of them in June........... What is it with global warming anyway???

It hit 106 in Marysville today. I have not ridden in several days because I am an ATGATT rider and it is just too toasty for me. Hats off to the folks in AZ etc who ride in this all the time.

I only have a short ride to work, and while the temp on the bank across the street did read 100, it was not all that humid. The vents on the Leather jacket, as always, do their thing.... I must admit I did cut through a couple of parking lots to avoid stopping at traffic lights.

NOW WAIT ONE MINUTE.... Just because we refuse to join the rest of the world doesn't mean that.... oh yeah, yes it does.

I'm an engineer and I have worked with customers all over the world. The constant conversion of units from one system to another really does drive me bananas.

V spot, I hear what you're saying. . . it's going to be nice to see the 80's again.

I'm ATGATT as well, including a full face helmet, yet I still ride. On Monday I rode from Spokane home and the thermometer briefly fell to 91 at the top of Chinook Pass.

A wet T-shirt under the mesh, and if it's really hot, a wet bandanna around the throat works wonders.

Of course, that's for the open road. Doesn't work very well in stop-and-go traffic.
