In spite of the fact that Victory denied the warranty for my bag lid back in Oct when my Vision was delivered , I called Zack's Vtwin and let them know that a couple people on the Vision Riders forum HAD gotten warranty approvals for replacement.
They resubmitted yesterday and it was DENIED AGAIN. Zack called me today after he followed up with the warranty tech via phone. They insisted NO ONE has gotten this problem remedied by warranty. They are still "studying" the problem and have not made a final decision. Also interesting to note....they claimed that they are STILL having the "shrinkage" problem to various degrees.(some hardly noticeable - some more so)Also , no replacement lids without this problem exist yet. The warranty tech said there are rumors of certain dealer(s) and or local DSM's actually paying for a repair themselves for their customers.
If you have this problem and your dealer has said it's been covered by warranty , please let me know the dealer, contact and VIN if possible. Since I personally wrote a long email to someone with great influence at Victory , I'd like to see definitively if this is going to be covered.
Thanks in advance! |

| I received a call from a Victory engineer back in the middle of December to see how I liked my Vision. He said they had heard about the crease and were aware of it. I mentioned my touring pack also had one and he seemed a little hesitent. I brought up the alignment issue on the bags and he said Victory was also aware of that. I mentioned my right bag has such a large gap at the bottom that you can see the frame. The gap was 1/4 inch. The engineer said the tolerence was 1/8 inch. He basically said they were aware of several things and to hold on till the Spring to see what actions Victory would take.
Its a little strange that Victory sent a letter to people who ordered Visions stating that the first ones to show up at dealerships were base models and were sort of a first run production or a trial run on the production line. The problems I noticed on those bikes and the problems I noticed on the demo model in the summer were not fixed and my Vision has the same issues. |

Posts: 1324 So Cal | I keep harping on my dealer also, with no results. He has quite a few Visions and not all have the dents (I checked every one) the steel gray are the hardest to spot. As I said before, the alignment of the lids on mine are perfect, which is why I hesitate about replacements (may be dentless but what about new alignment issues?) I wouldnt mind dent repair on the bags I have, but my bike is black, easy to match paint. What about those with the cherry or steel? By the way, those with steel gray, that color looks awsome in person. Pictures dont do it justice. |

Posts: 129 Coastal , NJ | So maybe this really wasn't officially approved under warranty at any dealers?
