I have the 2" taller windshield on my Victory & in no time I could no longer tell the difference from the factory shield. Does anyone know of someone making an even taller windshield for the Visions? I don't necessarily need one of those "banana" shields on a Goldwing that damn near wrap all the way back over top of your head but Victory should have some taller choices for a touring bike.

Me too, and I also would like something taller and without the sight altering curve at the top.

Thanks. I jus looked at that site & it appears that the extended windshield they sell for the Victory is the same 2" taller shield that Victory sells. Too bad. Maybe on the 15th Ann. Edition they'll at least offer a low rent extension that you clamp onto the top of your existing windshield.

I think I see now. How tall is the factory shield & the 2" taller shield? It looks like they have a 22" shield that sounds nice but I'm not sure how tall the one I have now is.

dude the C Bailey tall shield when powered up is huge what do you want a lexan roof over your head?? I have 3 shields the sport shield the stock and the tall.. you didnt mention this but if you dont have the power windshield you arent going to get any benefit from the tall shield.

I have a 10th Ann. #51. So I have the power windshield. I've been thinkin about gettin that blade shield to play with around town but changin them out, although not complicated, is a bit of a pain. I have the 2" taller than factory shield so I was just wondering how much taller is that 22". The 2" taller is the tallest that Victory sells & I wouldn't mind a couple more inches but I do not want what I call one of those banana windshields that looks like the press on nails of a black girl with them corn chip looking finger nails that are so long they curl under that the Goldwings sometimes have.

Been using windshields for 30+ years. First one I got - I wondered why I was so stupid for the first 20 years.
But - I also learned that I NEVER want to look thru a windshield - except in a car. A 'windshield' should protect you from the wind - but not block or distort your vision - or your VISION. I am 5'8" and ordered my Vision with the smallest shield knowing that the tall one would distort my view of the world. I even got very good over the years at being able to saw off the top of some of the windshields I bought - and I still have the tools.
I also can't understand why anyone would want to push a 'barn door' thru the air at 80 MPH. So what's up with this desire for huge pieces of eye distorting plastic???? Do you really wish you were back inside your car???

donetracy-got the taller shield partly to take some of the buffetting off my passenger. she is 5'-10. i got the new shield under warranty because of the distorton from the stock shield. new shield is much less of a problem and the distortion area is higher therefore does not come into view nearly as much. with a short shield she would not ride bi*%h on this bike.

I like to ride with the windshield down and was getting a lot of buffeting so I put the taller shield on the STARSHIP and the extra two inches solved that problem and if its cold or raining the added height makes it very comfortable in the up position.

The CeeBailey tallest version is 4" taller than stock, hence 2" taller than the Vic tall version. It's also wider too..

That looks pretty sweet. I notice the Cee doesn't have the black border at the bottom. Have you seen the new arm rest for the 2010's? Hopefully theyre available to put on my 10th.

I would rather not look through a windshield either, but went with the Cee Baily tall one. Bottom line, I either look through the screen, or ride alone. The wind caught her right at the nose level with the stock one. The victory tall, caught her right above the eyebrows. Both buffettes her helmet, but the Cee Baily fixed it so she is happy. same as the wseemann, I ride with it down and see over it with no problem. When the wife rides with me it is up all the way except when we are in slow traffic.

I actually like looking through a shield. After 5 plus years of having a really tall windshield on the Goldwing, It became normal. I ordered the 2"+ Cee Bailey's for the Vision. I look through it. I also think maybe those who do not have the power windshield on the Vision cannot get the 2"+ as tall, because you would be looking through it.

There have only been 3 times the tall windshield has been dangerous, due to fog, quick fog, in all my years. One time crossing a large river, the warmth rising off the water fogged my cold windshield in about 10 seconds. The other 2 times have been pulling out of my garage in the morning, and the dew point or something fogged the shield over.

I got the 22 inch Cee Bailey mainly for riding in the rain. The Vision 18" allowed a lot of rain to pelt my face. I have not got caught in the rain yet with the Cee, but generally speaking I am happy with it; able to look over the top of it when down; able to hide behind a "barn door" if, and when, it rains. There was concern that it would not allow enough ventillation in the hot weather, but it seems to work well for me.

I have the tallest Cee Baily, and LOVE it! In the rain, some of the water runs down the inside, so I'm going to get some aquarium tubing, split it, and take to Sturgis with me, and hopefully not have to use it. I saw in another post that this is suposed to work if you put it on the top of the windsheild.

Does anyone have a pic of the tallest (22" I think) windshield from Cee Baileys installed on their bike? It appears that the Cee Baileys is clear at the bottom allowing you to see the black frame of the windshield mount. This is a problem because I think it will look cheap when you see something you know you are not supposed to see!!

It does! I'm going to put a wide peace of Black electrical tape ccross the bottom inside, and take a exacto knife and cut around to mounting bracket. I wish it was painted. MAYBE SOME COULD MAKE A TEMPLATE TO BUT SO WE COULD PAINT IT BLACk, OR EVEN BETTER, A BLACK DECAL.

I am contacting Cee to check ot see what they can do or suggest. But these are cut from a larger piece of plastic, and I am not sure if they can do anything. I might call a local car tint place and see what they might charge for a dark strip on the bottom. If it seems like too much to spend, I don't think the clear bottom will really bother me that much.

Well, it seemed like a good idea, but calling around I found that tint doesn't work on plastic. There are some model tinting paints, but a little research found them to be hit and miss. What I might do is just get some black plastic tip covers for the silver screws. That would be less costly, and at least the silver screws wouldn't show so much.

Hmm...

I wonder if it could be shipped to Victory/Polaris & have that bottom part blacked out. I like the size of that large Cee's windshield but I have a 10th & there's NO WAY IN HELL I'm putting that thing on my bike where you can see the frame/mounting bracket through the shield! Not gonna happen!

The Cee Bailey 22" clear shield came to me PRECURVED.

The lack of blacking to hide the mounting brackets is no issue at all to me. I cleaned up the mounting brackets before installing the shield and, to my primitive eye, it looks great.
