I thought I'd pass on some information that some of you may not be aware of. I ordered the Victory (Garmin 2720) GPS unit when I bought my Vision. I know...$1000.00 for an obsolete, no longer produced Garmin product...but hey, I'm stupid...So I register the GPS on Garmin's website after I have it installed and click in a window that says something to the effect that I get a free 2008 map upgrade. Well being new the the whole GPS thing, I confirm, etc. Today I received a Map Update 2008 DVD from Garmin, loaded in the GPS without issue and now all the maps are up to date. I guess one way to look at it is; my $1000.00 GPS only cost me $940.00...

Ride Safe,

Ken

I have yet to get mine, as I registered mine on the site too. I ordered the Cd upgrade as well, but haven't recieved it as yet. If it is outdated, I really don't care, it is still a really nice product!

How long did it take you to get your update? I've been waiting about 3 weeks now.

It took about 5 weeks or so...The update was easy to install, it took almost two hours.

Does the Victory gps come with pre-installed dealer coordinates?
If so, would you be willing to download & share them with the group?
I have a dealer .gpx file that is about 1 year old and I'm sure has omissions in it.

I just bought a "new" Garmin 2720 on Ebay. Got it for $350.95 shipped. I don't mind it being 1 model year older when I can save half the price or more.

I just got my GPS today, and yes it does have dealer coordinates installed.  Under the "Food, Hotel..." tab there is one for Victory Dealers, but that is all under Find Near Here and I only see dealers under 500 miles from here.  I could change locations on the map and crosscheck them, but it would take a good bit of time.
