Posts: 432 Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | I have not ridden much but had some questions regarding the download for the different stages. I was set to get the down load for the S1/L1 after I punched out the baffle plate for the stock cores. Was told the difference if adding the air filter would equal out to the S1/L1 kit. I had heard the downloads were the same and if I wanted a little more open pipe I could add one later. Before I did this though I had the dealer check the part number on the card that comes with the L2 kit and indeed it was different than the S1 download. So rather than jump around I just did the full S1/L2 kit. I have some questions on what to expect of this setup. First off the bike is very smooth and doesn't exibit the same kind of hard engine braking when backing off the throttle. It pulls a little better but to be honest the S1/L1 I rode seemed a little better within 2500-3200RPM or at least it was better than stock. These are just initial impressions. I clicked on the real time fuel milage and that seems to be alot better than when stock. I know not to expect miracles but expected a little more than Level1. Acceleration in 3'rd seems about the same. I have always done my own work and its not that the dealerships has given me any reason to doubt tham but I wonder if the download was done or is this how the bike is supposed to run? Part of that is expecting to have a few more ponies along with a slight increase in vibration.

Posts: 432 Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | Had a chance to put a few more miles on and the bike definatly pulls harder. Its just so smooth its hard to tell. Can run down to 1800 going slow through town and doesn't bog. Part throttle low rpm is cleaner. Doesn't seem loud at all but when going under overpasses I can hear the engine and it is deep sounding. Thanks for reply Kevin.
