Ok thought I'd post this as it is still fresh in my head. As some know I had some radio issues with my Vision and it torched my Ipod a couple months back. Victory was good to me for the most part but the radio still wasn't replaced. Instead they did download and sent me a new Ipod harness.
So the new Ipod harness which has been back-ordered for some time finally came in and I hooked up just the harness. Went for a ride and the radio locked out several times, so whatever it is it relates to the Ipod.
Needless to say with poor radio reception and no Ipod I needed an alternative, enter XM Radio. I purchased an XM receiver through Amazon for around $30 which came with all the additional car kit stuff (pwr lead, antenna, car dock, mounts) it is the SKYFi3 which also stores mp3/Wmv. Mounted it on the center console and used the internal Fm transmitter to pump it through the Fm radio on the bike wireless. Works like a charm. Power is being supplied via the powerlet in the glove box and I routed the wire for the antenna under the dash panel. The magnetic antenna base is located on the front cowl right above the left mirror and holds via the magnet.
I'll post some pics when I get time.
All told I have $166.62 total investment for Xm with a 1yr contract. The most expensive part of the venture is the XM service which is really about $120 + a 1 time $15 fee for activation. I'm sure there are better deals to be had. OR you could just use the mp3 feature if you didn't wish to pay for XM.
Anyhow I just wanted to post my solution in case someone else is at wits end. Ride safe.... T

Yes, my Sirus radio is plugged into the Aux plug in the glove box. It shows up in AUX on the radio screen on the console, but you can tune on the Sirus reciever. Works good.

Have the antenna for my Sirius radio velcroed to the top of the dash....looks like it belongs there.
