Does anyone else agree that the rear tipover protector chrome covering is crap? Who spends $200 to glue chrome with silicone? Silicon paste is not an adhesive. What a joke! I'm going to the auto parts store asap to find a better adhesive than this crap. Why are these Palaris upgrade parts half-assed? I can do better than this witch cheap epoxy.

No problem with mine. I clamped them overnight and they are holding tight. If you spread the silicone far enough around it makes a good seal once clamped. I was skeptical about the double stick on the lowers that came from Polaris but following their directions and letting them set up 24 hours and a year later they are still holding tight and they do get exposed to high speed winds both open and closed positions.

Good luck, If you are wanting something more glue like try automotive grade epoxy, the stuff body shops use.

Good idea. Guess I can clamp them down once they are glued.

Just use the red double sided auto body molding tape, at most auto parts. Clamp
overnight and bingo. Mine has been on for a year no problems. If you ever want to remove
use a heat gun and will com off.

why go through all that? A cheap can of chrome spray paint works wonders.

1. cheap chrome spray paint LOOKS LIKE CHEAP CHROME SPRAY PAINT who buys a 20,000 bike only to save a hundred bucks with a home paint job???? Varyder,,,, im gonna have to come send you to the "im a cheap bastard" finishing school for boys LOL.

2. the point of the silicone is so that if the bike goes down and they get damaged you CAN replace them. They arent made to be hurricane proof...

only if you bought it from me and had it professionally sanded, applied, re- applied, sealed, then re-sealed otherwise its gonna hold up
like a can of "silver chrome paint " from Michaels' arts and crafts shop
