Kewaskum, WI | Sorry if this has already been covered - I am hearing "chirps" when on the throttle (under load). I let off the throttle and no more chirps. Throttle again and the chirps resurface. This doesn't sound like the belt chirps to me (as my Vision has this issue as well when it's cold and damp outside). So what is the chirp I'm hearing under load? |

Montreal, QC Canada | Are you sure it isn't a noise coming from the trunk hinge? I have to "shim" mine, I put a piece of cloth where the seal is and the trunk doesn't squeek.

Reno County, KS | Belt chirp. Mine is a constant squeal now, I've had it adjusted/tentioned and aligned 3 times and even tried it myself once without getting it to go away. I have my local dealership looking at mine again next month when I get back from work. Usually it's cured by having the a Vic Tech align/tension your belt. Mine has been more difficult than most others.

Tucson, AZ | If all aligntment has been done and it still chirps have them look at the pully. I had mine changed out and it cured the chirp, which was more of a squeal. Seems that the valleys of the pully where machined incorrectly. Give it a shot if alignment does not fix it.

Reno County, KS | Thanks Mike, I just talked to my favorite Vic dealership earlier today and am having them send me a new pulley. I'll probably have to send them the old one in return but I don't think we're going to have a problem getting it taken care of under warranty. I may have to take the pulley into the closest dealership to have this covered but at least I won't have to wait forever for another dealership to look at it again, decide what to do and then order the part before finally replacing it. I'll be a pretty happy rider if I can get this issue taken care of. |

scotts valley, California | I have to shoot my belt down with dressing every thousand miles or so. Dees ain't rite! Glad to hear that mine is not the only one. This is something that Victory needs to do something about. |

Capitol Region of NH | I went in for the same problem for the second time. I was called by the service manager and apparently some of the 08s have a defective pully and Victory is replacing them under warranty. Having mine done on Wednesday. |

Regina Saskatchewan Canada | My dealership finally got the alignment correct and I haven't heard a beep from my belt since. It has been three months now. I hope when they change the back tire they can repeat the alignment. Have not heard of any replacement of the rear pulley under warranty. |

| I had the chirps, drives you crazy just because you are always listening for it instead of enjoying the ride right? I had the dealer adjust my belt when I was in there one day but it came back a few miles later so, I left the tension (right side) alone and played with the left until I got it right. Don't try to aline the belt by equalizing the notches at the adjusters as these are only a guide (even the manual says so). With patience, and some trial and error you will elliminate your sqeak but I'm convinced that one adjustment by yourself or the dealer is not likely to get the allignment right the first time, but you might get lucky.
I should add that I too had a sqeak at the hinge and it threw me for a while because I just defaulted to thinking it was my belt, again. That was when I really learned something about my patience. I'm okay now, and so is my bike. No squeaks and what a ride. |

Capitol Region of NH | Had my pulley replaced the other day, (under warranty). The noise was driving me nuts. I did not realize however just how bad it was until I rode it home without the belt squeeking. Very pleased with the annoying noise gone. |
