Posts: 904 29 Palms California | The Canadians are cool. They send us those black and white geese every year (good eating), and their police are called Mounties. Anything with the word "mount" is cool. They also still give the love out to the mullett! My favorite hairstyle. (hockey players and coaches only). They have the "horseshoe" falls, and left the crumbling side to us. They gave us APRIL WINE, TRIUMPH, and RUSH just to scrape the surface. Your women are hot, even when it's cold. If it wasn't for those politicians making you out to look like a bunch of frenchman, you would get more respect down here. The again, who wants to be in the that much snow, for that long? I guess you can watch Hockey Night in Canada in your garage with the seat warmer on, listening to Moving Pictures, and drinking MOOSEHEAD BEER! (my favorite) Take off eh? |

Posts: 340 Regina Saskatchewan Canada | Yes it really sucks here with all the snow. At least we aren't a s bad off as eastern Canada and North eastern USA! It sucks even more to be them!
It's nice to read the forum about other people's experiences riding the Vision. It helps me daydream about riding my own Vision in April.

Man are you full of some misconceptions.
Medical Care in Canada may be free in some provinces but it isn't free while traveling out of country for any Canadian.
As far as Canada Pension goes, everyone that works pays into it and if you don't pay into it you don't get it and even when you do get at age 65 it's not enough for anyone to actually live on. If one doesn't plan and save for their retirement like I did, you have almost nothing. I retired at 55 and plan on doing lots of touring on my new Victory Vision thru Canada and the USA. So many places to explore!
As for all the Canadians at Panama City Beach, it's only maybe 1/10 of one percent that's there in the winter and that would be the lucky ones who planned and saved for their retirement.

Posts: 548 Mount Vernon, WA United States | Just FYI.. to buy a bike in the US and bring it up to Canada, just requires a little planning, but nothing major.
1. You need a fax from Polaris verifying that that the bike meets Canada emission codes. (Dealer should be able to help with this easy enough, I would insure the VIN is on this FAX it will help.)
2. Also fax a copy of the above to Customs where you are crossing into Canada.
3. Customs generally requires 72 hours notice before you "import your vehicle".
4. To my knowledge the warranty will not be valid in Canada.
5. Don't forget you will have to pay GST at the border.

I think he may become a U.S. Citizen if we keep helping him out...(if only part time in the winter) Canadian money still spends here! |

Posts: 16 Edmonton, Alberta,Canada | I ordered my vision back in sept. for possession around march, got a call from my dealer few weeks ago that price on tour premium was reduced by $2100 which makes about $2000 diff.can-us ,also dealer told me as far as he knows US Victory dealers cannot sell to Canadian customers
In my opinion since vision is a new production bike I would want warranty, just my 2 cents.
With the $2100 savings I ordered billet wheels, can't wait till spring. |

Yes I heard from my dealer that there was a 5% drop in the Canadian Victory prices, WOWHO!
I have the same thoughts as you, not just because it's a NEW production bike but also because it is a new bike, warranty is very important! I'm thinking I will spend some of the savings on an extended warranty.

Don't be surprised Buckeye one winter I come rolling up your driveway on my Victory Vision! Hope you got lots of room for guests!
Right now the Canadian dollar spends better in the US than has for many, many years! It is close to par at this time.

I Hate Labatts, and Molsen, but any other CASE of beer and a video of the greatest HOCKEY FIGHTS and GOALS, will get you one night at hotel BukNakd. Palm Springs is a haven for the snowbirds. I don't mind, because they are down the hill, about 20 minutes from Yucca, Valley. I don't know why the locals get twisted panties over snowbirds...maybe because they wish they could go somewhere for the winter when they retire? |

The say he (could be she not sure)(hehe) tramps around with a biker helmet, cowboy boots, and a Schlitz in one hand and waving a small bb gun in the other. The locals say they have spotted it, on occassion, normally on the weekends or major holiday. But no pics to date and the only one that has ever been closely scrutinized as the photo of BUKNAKD, is the one of some old geezer on a small motoscooter with ape hangers with a helmet and some funky jersey. Once again, no proof, just saying. I hear he goes off, half-cocked too. |

I was really hoping to do my holiday shopping in Richmond or Vancouver or maybe even Victoria, but it just isn't worth it this year and I think stores on this side of the border that rely on the Canadian customers for certain things this time of year are suffering too.
I sure hope it recovers soon.

Nothing is ever "free", not even medical care in Canada. Canadians pay for their medical care with their taxes. |
