Posts: 222 Barefoot Bay, FL United States | If the filter that Victory dealers put on the Vision for the S1L1 upgrade is a K&N, why does it look like a Fram that is white with the orange rubber seal? That is what mine is!! K&N is a propriety maroon with a screen and a black rubber seal, with the ability to re-use it by cleaning and reoiling it.

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | If you had the dealer install a Stage 1 Level 1 kit on your motorcycle and the air filter you have on your motorcycle right now is white with an orange seal, then they did not install the proper air filter. The Stage 1 Level 1 kit includes two mufflers, 1 air filter, and a card that allows the dealer to reflash the fuel controller. As spoken in another thread last week, the filter that comes with the kit, looks like a K&N, but it may not be a K&N. There are other compainies that make K&N style filters, Fram is one, called an AirHog. They also have a cleaning and oil kit for their filters as well, but the oil make the filter look orange, that's because Fram's colors are orange.

The stage 1 that Vic installs is not a K&N but is re-usable, for the record though the K&N filter is actually white, just looks maroon because they come pre-oiled.
