As to the radio skipping off station, this is a known issue. You will need to have the control on the left handle bar replaced.

dont think they will be doing it as free upgrade but i had a look and even if they did i cant see me wanting to change. the rear cluster completely changes the lighting system, at the moment all your bulbs come on in a v shape but with clear lenses you only get 1 bulb each side with orange bulbs on each side for indicators and it just doesnt look the same. the front ones arent so bad and may be worth changing.
i have the same problem with my radio and the dealer is looking at it, funnily enough victory say they havent heard of it before!! and that is even with a lot of postings about it from everyone else.. but dont you find the radio very poor in the uk, i have given up with it for now, main problem is tuning it, it goes up in steps of 2 each time - 97.3 to 97.5 to 97.7 etc and my local station is 97.6 so im a bit stumped. luckily the ipod works brilliantly

"as got the radio skipping off station if you turn vol up or down what is the fix for this? " My controller was fine, Jay found poor insulation on a wire at the rear of the bike.Jeff... Mine would do this if I was listening to the radio, and tried to increase/decrease volume. Seems one issue, at lease with the 08's (could be other issues as related to radio, or as your case wires)was the membrane that covers the switch was "stiff" and when you pressed the volume +/- button there was enough pressure to activate the turner +/- button next to it. Since I use mine on AUX, I never had it fixed because in that mode it has no effect on the turner button.
If you have any other questions, you got my number! |
