Will the 2720/2820 remove easily for locking in the trunk or bringing into a restaurent with you with the Victory mount? Can these unit be operated on a internal battery say when making a rest stop and away from the bike?
New to GPS.

Walt, easy removal yes, but I don't think either has an internal battery. I know the Garmin Zumo 550 does. This is what I have and is made for a bike.

Yes they can be removed easily, the 2820 comes with a tool to unscrew the locking screw at the top of the mount. The 2820 does not have an internal battery so if you want to use it off the bike you have to plug in the adapter to a wall socket. I believe all the above applies to the 2720 also.
