I have the Garmin StreetPilot 2720 dealer installed on my '08. I can get everything from the mp3 player to the CB to come through my headset but not the voice commands from the Garmin. With the full face helmet on and listening to the radio I have to have the voice volume turned up pretty loud to hear it. This can startle people on the curb as I pull up to a corner and have my bike suddenly yell out to "Turn right". I would have thought that with the external speakers turned off the Garmin voice would come through the ICOM.

Does anyone know how to get it to do that?

is ur headset bluetooth? if so you need a Jabra a120 to plug into the headset jack of the streetpilot. It is small about 1"x2"and can be velcrod to the back of the streetpilot. It send s a stereo Bluetooth signal to your paired headset. can be found on ebay for 30 to 40 bones

No, unfortunately my headset is just plugged into the standard ICOM jack. The manual doesn't list a gps as an audio source to pick from like the CB, FM radio, iPod, etc. but when you turn the external speakers off so that all the audio sources com through the intercom system (headsets) you would think that would include the audio signal from the GPS. I'm just trying to find out if this is how it's working for others before I take it to a dealer to have it looked at. They have a tendancy to say, "Well if that's the way it's working then that must be right."

ARGH! I abhor dealers that say that! Geez...just because the wheels turn doesn't mean that they are turning correctly.

Me: "My bike makes a funny noise when I turn the throttle and dies"
Dealer: "Does it go down the road"
Me: "Yes"
Dealer: "It must be working then and it must be right"

AAAAARGH!
