I spoke to Andrew at Bushtec.... he sent me this note.... and some pictures.
John,
Thank you for your interest in Bushtec and our line of Performance Sport Trailers and trailer hitches. In follow-up to our phone conversation, I am sending you some information on a new model that Bushtec will be introducing to the public at Americade. Tentatively named the Concours, this new design channels the Art-Deco design period which found significant influence on cars, housewares and architecture. The Concours takes its primary design cues from a 1937 Delage with body by Pourtout Coachworks. The uninterrupted and arched lines flow seamlessly from front to rear. The first generation of the Concours will feature a pair of teardrop LED taillights with additional available lighting in a formed bumper. The attached photos do not show the fender skirts which will be an available option as well. The shape of this trailer will make it the ultimate compliment to retro cruisers with Art Deco influence such as the Victory Vision. Pricing and availability will also be announced at Americade. Thank you and ride safe.

Wow! this looks great. I am thinking what this would look like color matched to the Vision. There is no doubt what motorcycle this would look best with!
Maybe the aftermarket is getting on board!

But it does look pretty darn good. |

my guess our preference would jack the price up another grand, and I don't even know what this is retailing for. |

| I like it. The two tone paint highlights the "V" top pattern which makes it Vision friendly but not specific. |

| Can't say as I'm all that impressed. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice trailer but I just bought a Gypsy Trailer, the Scarab and still prefer it's looks over this new Bushtech. The Gypsy is more streamlined whichI think suits the bike better and without knowing the Bushtech dimentions I think the Gypsy will carry a longer load too. But, knowing Bushtec makes a good product I'm sure this is a good trailer. It just doesn't float my boat, if you know what I mean. |

Posts: 1632 Jasper, MO | Nice looking trailer, and we all know Bushtec makes a good product, BUT, it needs to have the Vision taillights and it should be offered in colors matching the factory Vision colors. They know how to build trailers styled to compliment a particular model bike, such as a Goldwing. They are close with this trailer, but it needs a little more refinement stylistically.

Posts: 1484 LaPorte,Tx. | I'm not sure but by the title of this tread, looks like Bushtec made this trailer for the Kingpin Tour motorcycle, which matches up this that bike well. The way it is shaped it could accomendate a V style taillights pretty easy. |

The way it is shaped it could accomendate a V style taillights pretty easy. Actually Bushtec created the original design for the trailer several years ago to match a one-off bike modification they had made (see below). When I took my Vision to them in Dec 07 to develop the prototype trailer hitch for the Vision, I also brought along a clay model of what I thought a trailer should look like that would match the Vision. Andrew looked at it and invited me into the shop where I saw the Art Deco model that looked almost identical to what I had envisioned - including the wheel skirts! I thought that was pretty neat. He decided to go ahead and modify the Art Deco into a trailer to match the Vision. I know the current taillights don't match too well, but the lights were a problem from the start. I think they are still working on the lights, but I'm not sure.

Anyone ever get a ballpark price quote on this thing? I searched around again and finally found it on their site. Problem is that it's the "winter special" that you must call in for a quote: http://www.bushtecmotorcycletrailers.com/pages/custompages/viewcust...
Looks like they're calling it the Concourse. All these little motorcycle cargo trailers seem a little pricey to me because I paid less than $3K for my fully enclosed, 10ft motorcycle hauling trailer. I know they're not the same animal but com'on! Anyway, I remembered seeing this thread awhile back and recouped some interest after buying a hitch recently. |

Posts: 28 Reston, Virginia | Cool trailer but I couldnt justify the assumed price or potential wait. I built mine from a kit from harborfreight, called the tagalong trailer. I posted some pics in the VisionRider Gallery if you are interested. After my modifications and tweaks, I am very pleased with the result, and I have it now. I cant tell you how liberating it is to be able to travel with all your gear, without tradeoffs. |

Posts: 1158 Richmond, Virginia | Its a nice looking trailor my dealership ordered one of the first ones and has it color matched to the 2009 Blue bike he owns.
Its SWEET LOOKING !! Huge storage space, we tricked it out with some chrome accents and he has the cooler built onto the front of the trailor tongue which is nice feature to have when you want to stop for a drink on the ride. The blue is outstanding. It suits the
VISION perfectly, it is NOT a great match for the Kingpin unless you have your KP tricked out in deco. |

Posts: 93 Saskatchewan (hard to say, easy to draw ) | I spent a ton of time reasearching trailers for my Vision...http://bohica.homeip.net:591/~mark/Campers.html was the best place to look. By the way, if you got a Bushtec Vision hitch, PLEASE check the two inch cross braces at the back! BOTH of mine were improperly welded. One compleltely let go and the other was cracked. I did let Andrew at BushTec know and he said that the problem had been fixed but it didn't make me feel happy after pulling my trailer to Custer and back from Saskatchewan! Fianally got a Leeure Lite Excel burgandy and have had it painted with actual Midnight Cherry ( from Polaris) and pinstriped to match my Vision. Really happy with it all!!! |

Posts: 93 Saskatchewan (hard to say, easy to draw ) | I have a Leesure Lite Excel - painted it with Polaris Midnight Cherry factory ( same paint as used with the sleds!) and decaled with line semitransparent silver to match my '08 Vision. Absolutely love it! Pics as soon as the snowback is small enough to get through to my storage shed! Looked for trailers for a long time .... best site to cross shop and compare at http://bohica.homeip.net:591/~mark/Campers.html
CAUTION! CHECK YOUR HITCH! Issues with the BUsh Tec hitch - there are 2 small ( 2" ) Z brackets. BOTH broke at the welds! ( reported it to Andrew at BUSHTEC - said that they fixed the issue. |

Posts: 93 Saskatchewan (hard to say, easy to draw ) | Sorry all ( and you too Salty!) for the repeat posts - Just back at the site and getting psyched to get the bike out!
3 things learned so far....
use plastic tubing over the lip of the windshield to stop a bit of the rain splatter back into my face
attach an antistatic strip somewhere so that the dust build up on long tips isn't so bad.
JoeFLorida's LED accent lights ( multicolor kit) with 96 leds plus another 2 of the 30's will be going on the bike! http://ledaccentlights.net/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=45
I will learn how to use this forum posting stuff yet! |

Posts: 340 Regina Saskatchewan Canada | All my cross braces on my Bushtec hitch where broken . . . . thought I was buying a quality product . . . especially since I paid a premium price. They did apologize and sent me replacements. Not sure the weld looks any better than it was before. |
