| Jeff said he read where there was a short in the radio handlebar controller somewhere. Does anyone know where that short might be? I have a GREAT senior electronics engineer I work with but don't want him spending time searching for it. Thanks in advance for any info.
Yes, everything works fine when I am parked. |

| There is no fixing the original handlebar unit. It must be replaced with the new updated one. I just got finished replacing mine and need to do my other one since it just started skipping also. Very simple to do and is a warranty issue. |

| It works much better BUT make sure it isn't the IPod cord and/or the radio itself. My radio and/or IPod cord just torched my IPod and I'm none too happy. The Shop manager ordered a new radio assy and Victory emailed back telling him to piece work the radio after determining which part of the radio is defective. I haven't had time to get back to the shop but I'm going to press the test with Victory. Not only over the radio but I also want my IPod replaced.
ps... I don't want anyone to think that the shop ordered a new radio because it killed my IPod. They ordered it because it wouldn't hold program and volume. The IPod torched the day after it was looked at and the radio ordered.

| I don't think it's my Ipod cable because everything works fine so far when I am stopped. Sitting in the driveway all buttons work and things work as they should. Once I hit some bumps in the road is when things go Krazy...
I will call Higgins today. |

| Red, try wiggling the IPod lead while stationary and see if it causes an issue. If not its probably a bad radio. |

Posts: 1290 Ruskin, Fl | I'm using an iPhone 3G and the cable seems to lock in snug. The phone doesn't have much room in there to move around. I had less than satisfactory operation of the controls before I started using the ipod. Now it's very noticable. Almost every time I try to advance one song it goes back to the beginning of the song playing or the song before that. Than I get frustrated and end up skipping ahead ten songs. I stopped using the controls when in radio mode, but it's defeats the purpose of having the $40 cable if you have to open the glove box to mess with the player. |

RedRider,
Which IPOD are you using? If it is a hard drive unit, that maybe the issue. |

I will call Higgins today. this is probably one accessory that Victory wished they never included. Dollarbill is on to the first step of troubleshooting. There is a narrow margin of error when using the iPod's and you have to make sure versions, generations, cables for the Vision are all in sync. I'll not repeat anything here but there is a ton of posts on this very subject. You'll just need to do the process of elimination to get to the root of the problem. I'm using a 2gen iPod Touch which works very well with the Vision, but does have problems on a bump with the cable. The cable is not long enough therefore the cable connection supports the Touch weight. I hope to remedy that with some foam which will support the touch and not cause any stress in the connection. Mine will sometimes loose connection, freeze, even the speaker will lose stereo effect. So when you determine all else and get the right combo, be sure the connection or the cable is not supporting the device. |

FYI, I have used velcro on the Ipod in the glove box to keep it from moving. |

| I wiggle the cable and it works fine. I have a 2nd gen Ipod. I pulled the access panel up and did not find anything amiss. The handlebar control does nothing now. Push any button and nothing happens. Higgins is taking care of it next Saturday. Remember their Open House is this Saturday so everyone show up. Lets fill there parking lot with Victorys. |
