Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | From the first time I rode the Vision I knew the thinking was out of the box. In context, this bike was made for the rider in comparison to other bikes. Folks can say what you will about how great such and such bike is, but I believe the Vision will prove to be the most versitile bike out there of all times, as it is still being discovered. One thing is to note is why there is such a fight over the Vision, that is, it has a strong love/hate relationship. Folks whine about features that are not even essential for the performance, and the performance issues comes in a time where government and innovation clash. But they will overlook what I see is the breakthrough engineering of the motorcycle experience. I see the Vision being applied to public service as police bikes and even more. I see the Vision getting folks over to the utility aspect of riding and a contender in the showcase arena. It is easy to manuever and it has a brand new canvass to work from in an aspect yet to be seen. I see the young and old taking to the Vision, from street to full up touring and anything in between, and you don't even have to have a different bike. It is a bike very easy to ride, but has no trade off to be a sissy bike, it means business for the road. I'm a novice with just a mere 6 years of actually riding time, but this bike makes me feel like I've been riding all my life and others have shared that same experience. I see this bike covering a wide spectrum in the world of motorcycling that will have no peer for many days to come. I'm just rambling and hope to stir some good talk on the best bike on the road today...

Posts: 271 Belding Michigan | I am in your camp. I have ridden for thirty eight years and have always had to compromise something and due to my size, usually comfort. I believe there are a lot of good bikes out there I like the speed and relibility of the Gold Wing been a member of GWRRA for 25 years and rode wings all that time mixed with other bikes. I also love the sound of a Harley you can never mistake that rumble. I had a Tour Glide that was fun to ride but even that was too small and I had trouble with the Floor boards shifter and brake layout as I am too tall for it to work well for me. If you remember a Bike called the Suzuki Calvalcade that came close to having the room on it for a big guy but was top heavy and in parking lots was a menace. Along came this swoopy looking bike made by this funny little company called Victory. What could it do that no one else had done in the past.
Well after my first test ride I thought dang someone got it right but my wife will never buy into a V-Twim and she sure will have trouble with a $24,000 MC. I brought her to the dealrship for a test ride and she said how soon can we take one home. I sold the Wing and the TC within a week and have had the Vision for a year now. It is great for me. At 6' 10" and 400 lbs this bike was made for me however based on the comments on this site is was also made for other people and other body sizes.
I can ride parking lots, back road, twistys, and the super slab with equal comfort and knowing that even if I get a little frisky the bike will help me thru it. I have not tried dirt bike riding with this yet but you never know what may happen in the future the closest I have come to that is finding a paved road that ended at the top of a hill with no warning and turned to gravel. At 65 that is a bit of a shock. But the Vision handled me and my wife well till I got slowed down and turned around and back on more stable ground. I guess you could say I am hooked. Thanks To Victory for thinking so for out side the box that you can not see the box any more. Archie

Posts: 367 Cottage Grove, Mn | Are we talking about the same Victory Vision that when first introduced people beat on like it was the red headed step child, pointed to and laughed at the design, or the one that has the most technology and is perhaps the most relible built bike today, the one that has the most rider comfort, the one that's equally at home on the slab or in the twistys, the one that turns quick fuel stops into 20 minuets show and tell stops, the one that makes me giggle every time another branded tour bike tries to follow me through the corners but has to catch up on the straight a ways. the one that deep down everybody wished they owned.
Well not me I stopped wishing in October 07 when I took delivery of my Midnight Cherry Tour Premium. (the fastest) lol. I can not say enough about this bike
I hadn't ridden in over 24 years and when I went looking for a bike I sat on them all and I mean every cruiser and /or tour bike out there. Victory was the last one I looked at but before I did I did some research and I liked what I read when I sat on a 03 TC I didn't even take it for a test ride I bought on the spot. Why? Because it was the only one that fit me just sitting on it. My Vision is no different I can and have ridden for 12 hours gotten of and not been stiff or sore and my HD buddies can't say that.
I agree with other owners that there are things Victory should do differently and should in the future change and maybe all the panels do not align perfectly and maybe this or that could be better but hell I guess we could find fault with everything we own if we looked hard enough. For those of us that bought the first production Vision's in 07 we bought them on blind faith a pig in a poke if you will.
We have the best thanks to Victory and when a better bike is built Victory WILL build it. When I think of Victory I am reminded of David and Goliath.
Thirty one years ago I started a business and inherited one customer. I knocked on the doors of my competitors customers and asked what it was about their vender they didn't like, not wanting to make the same mistakes they made I asked what they would like changed if they could. I listened and I gave them what they wanted. I soon began to erode my competitor's customer base and all they could say was that I would be broke and out of business soon so they shouldn't change blah blah blah. (sound familiar) Well over thirty years later I sold my business and that other companies name is hardly uttered any more.
I'm not trying to blow my own horn here just making a comparison, Victory asked we answered they delivered.
Varyder; stick around I'll teach you how to ramble lol

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | So I make this post here on the 26th, today, the 27th on the Vision forum in theVMC there is a discussion going on about the youngest Vision rider. These guys are talking about trading in their Jackpots, etc to go with the more comfortable and fun riding Vision, and the youngest so far is 25. We can jammer as the pilgrams or the risk takers for the Vision, but I think we have yet to see the potential for this bike waiting in the, errr, wing. What is the share price of polaris today???
