My better half and I were walking down the block towards the parked Vision in the little town of Mayville, WI...which isn't much different than Mayberry...just down the road from Mt. Pilot...last Friday after our road trip Fish fry ride. We had just put our chaps back on at the restaurant and were carrying our riding jackets when two local guys kind of slid out of the next door "watering hole" talking loudly on their way to their car parked next to my bike...they didn't see us walking towards them.

The first guy stopped in front of the bike and was making some disparaging remarks about the look and waiving his hands around while the other guy went around to the side and started waiving his hands around...."you're nuts man, this bike is way awesome...it has 106 Cubes, and rattled off a bunch more stuff that made the bike awesome...then summed up his rebuttal with...and besides there isn't a bike out on the road that looks anything like this!"

With that they both looked up and saw us watching them and the one drunk dude apologizes for making fun of the bike and I told him nothing to apologize for...you're not the guy that owns it! And the lubed up one that liked the bike finish him off by saying..."and that bike is way better than your car dude!"...as they got in his fairly faded 1991 Chevy Celebrity.

So there you have it...even when you are drunk the debate still sounds the same.

Next time I'll have to tell you about the stop at the DQ...you gotta try this...go inside and eat your sundae while watching out the window what people go through to get a close up look at the bike.

What a great story. As the Vision gets more press I must admit that the comments have begun to decline. Mostly its a simple thumbs up or "Cool bike dude!"

Boy...those first few months were nuts. Everytime I pulled in to fuel up it ended up being a 20 minute 'show and tell' episode.

Never had my doubts from the beginning that this bike is here to stay.

I find the negative comments are running about 1 in 50. I was on a Patriot Guard Mission this past week and every rider that came by had a positive comment. Most gas stops however are still a problem but it sure makes a person feel good.

Went to the new lowe yesterday at the start of a ride. when I cam out and got to the biek i saw a guy stuff his young daughter in the back of a pick up and start over to me. I hadn't flipped anyone off that morning, it was early, so i figured he had a long memory or was wanting a closer look. He said the bike looks awesome so many time i got tired of saying thank you. I said youought to get one. he said...........my wife won't let me. i said get a new wife. i guess he needs to reevaluate.

Too funny! My wife has never asked to ride any of my other bikes, but now she's at least interested in the Vision. I don't know what it is about this bike, but every time I walk into our garage, I have to pinch myself, because I still can't believe we own one.

I love this bike! Now for more chrome and some minor custom painting.

I tired to get my wife her own bike but she just wants to sit back and enjoy the ride on the Vision.
